This programme features Robson Green interviewing my father, Peter Townend, the last shedmaster at Kings Cross 'Top Shed', whilst walking around what remains of the Doncaster "Plant" Works, where he had served his engineering apprenticeship and worked in the locomotive drawing office in the 1940s, and where Flying Scotsman had been built some 20 years earlier.
