Does anyone know if its a service train that has derailed?
Have i missed something ? Didnt know a train derailed at all.
Ah, ok just saw the BBC News article, hope it isnt serious and i hope there isnt any injuries.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Article is updated now, train has about 30 pax onboard and there are no reports of injuries. Also says in the article that its believed the first car of the 2-car unit has derailed.
EDIT - Post on Twitter that it has hit a few cows, not confirmed though and could be a load of rubbish.
My colleague was working the Fishguard Flyer last week and it hit a fallen tree in that same section. Didn't derail that time though.
Cue cow jokes.
30 is a good loading.
Oh pax are still on the train according to the BBC report too, hope they get mooving soon.

That's first great western's catering sorted for the next few weeks then!!
Apologies for starting to "milk" this thread but the pax on the train were probably glad that this is July: in December or January the passengers might soon have been "friesian" to death..... =>Evacuated from the train and escorted along the track to busus.
Anyone know what unit it was that was involved, and if it will have to be withdrawn from service for repairs?
It'll be 150217 as I saw that on 16:04 Cardiff Central to Fishguard Harbour yesterday
It is that unit.
