Pubs near Morpeth station?

Does anyone know if there are pubs either on the Station or in close proximity, as I am doing an evening "turnaround" just so I have visited the Station on a £10 special 1st Class each way from FKG via EDB.

Layover about 2 hours.

I think you'll need to cross the river as the town centre is North of the station, I am sure a walk will do you good though

There's a spoons by the sports centre (The Electrical Wizard), a few other ok pubs dotted around the main street (The Black Bull is quite good)

Never walked it. Never used the spoons either, it hadn't opened last time I ate in Morpeth. Club deal prices seem to be lower than a few places

A legendary 'beer drinker's pub' which has turned towards the more lucrative pre-clubbing market.
