In that video, they both get the ball, but ....

Evans tackle is far worse because he has jumped in with both feet with the studs showing. He can not control the "tackle" in any way from that point. Not only was it reckless, it is classed as dangerous and 99 times out of 100, it is a straight red card.

Shelvey's challenge then wasn't reckless, more mis-timed (IMO), as the ball had run away from him a bit following the last challenge. He is stretching for the ball but catches Evans instead.

Alan Knill has gone!

However, Brian Laws is back, which I have mixed feelings about. He has led us to promotion twice before, but has some unconventional methods. Only time will tell if he is the right man to get us out of the mess we're in ....

You have Russ Wilcox back, who I must admit were treated very badly by our scum of a chairman during his time here helping Bradbury. Glad he is back in football helping his old mate. :D

And some good news for SS4 .... Villa are leading.

Indeed, not that my nerves can take listening to the game. It's not over until the fat lady sings

BBC Live scores are a farce, they have been behind for a while actually :(

Gutted for all the arsenal fans that started leaving when reading scored their fourth. Not real fans leaving though, as a real fan will stay no matter how bad and still support their team.

Despite being in the reading end, I was there till the end and it was a cracking game. Giroud changed the game when he came on. And, not many people can say this, but I saw Chamakh score not once, but twice!

The Harrogate Town v Hyde FA Cup replay had to be called off with the pitch being the problem...AGAIN..<(

Match re-scheduled for Wednesday.

Harrogate's pitch is absolutely appalling - considering the fact that they put in a brand new drainage system there, on the day of the first match they were to play there after the works had been done (Altrincham), there was light showers, and the pitch flooded. I wouldn't particularly like to bet on when that replay will actually be played.

As for my lot, I'm really not holding any kind of hope of a good result on Sunday. Having lost 2-1 to Workington (H) on Saturday and 3-1 to Guiseley (H) last night, and being without the services of Shaun Densmore, the captain, after being given a straight red in stoppage time on Saturday.

Great night last night at Elland Road. Southampton made 11 changes to their team (although we made 5) and they looked awful. No confidence at all, they looked like a team that didn't know each other.

Michael Tonge, El Hadji Diouf and Luciano Becchio with the goals for Leeds. There was also an incredible miss by Luke Varney with the score at 0-0. Southampton offered nothing.

We go marching into the quarter finals.

Sounds remarkable familiar to the story of the first 45 minutes at the Madejski.....
