In my opinion
Loco: Class 91
DMU: Class 170 or 180
EMU: Class 373 Eurostar

I would say the ICE-1:

Despite entering service in the early 1990s it still looks quite modern, although the livery looks very '90s. But still nice.

I like the 180, especially in Grand Central livery:

The 332 has a certain charm too. Prefer it to the 333, just because the coupler doesnt leap out at you as much.

Credit to the good people at Wikipedia for both images. The 180 is in the public domain, the 332 is under a creative commons license and free to use for non commercial purposes. I know some people get uppity about these things so I thought I'd nip the complaints in the bud.

Its the same for me as well.

It's funny you should say that, I quite like the ICE livery but I really don't like the new GA livery at all!

The shades are somewhat different? I like both liveries though, simple and stylish.

DMU: Class 159
EMU: Class 455 (SWT)
Diesel loco: Class 47 or more modern Class 60
Electric loco: Class 90 (I think 91s are much uglier with a flat end, prefer symmetrical trains!)

Not sure why some seem to like 332/333s! Very ugly IMO with a horrible rounded front and narrow lights. I think the way the bottom of the front protrudes out is not at all aesthetically pleasing! I think they look a little like the Siemens design for new tube stock

A 91 is kinda symmetrical, as it nearly always runs with a mk4 DVT on the other end which is the same profile!

It would look poor with two sharp ends, and wouldn't be as aerodynamic. Can't fault your choice though, the Class 90 is a good looking loco too.

There's a certain pugnacious look about the Electra (as I will always call it). It's a loco that manages to look sleek from some angle, yet squat and powerful from others. The nearest comparison is a Bugatti Veyron (not in shape, but in form, if you see what I mean). The original Swallow livery showed this off very well, but GNER was just as effective. 90s always look 'softer' and 'smaller', although exactly why is hard to describe.

Well the 82's and 90's with a mk3 rake is my fav train at the moment. The EMT/SWT 158's/159's look great too. Also like Merseyrail 507/508 units. Class 47's are best looking diesel loco and tube stock is now 72ts (was a60 stock)
