"Valenta" will be on here panicking about his beloved Newcastle United

Our form is a worry, we've only won one of our last eleven games and we've lost five of our last six games. However in the past couple of weeks there has been signs of improvement, and this will hopefully culminate in a victory for us against QPR next Saturday, considering that the three fixtures following that are Manchester United, Arsenal and Everton.
I haven't lost all faith in Pardew yet, but if we haven't picked up a point before 2012 is out, I will be calling for his head.

Your form is a worry, yet whilst you may worry about playing the likes of Manchester Utd and Everton playing Arsenal will be a break in that 3 points is almost a certainty.

Imagine how it most be to follow arsenal at the moment, one of the richest clubs in the world yet have a team incapable of beating another team from the 4th division, they have players who miss open goals from half a yard out when it would be easier to score, they pay the 4th highest wages in the premiership with Manchester Utd only just being in front of us on this issue and yet most of the players i wouldnt put out on a Sunday morning, they have gone from being a club who use to attract players to a club that sells its best players to its rivals. That is just a couple of things that i could think of.

On Monday night the comedy continues with a fixture against bottom of the table Reading, no guarentees of three points there. They stuggled in the last win and got by by on two dubiuos penalty decisions.

The club seem to be in freefall one that use to challenge for trophys now just happy to finsh 4th and this will be some mean feet if they do it this season, one that use to fight is now happy to roll over and have their tummies tickled.

Since the nouveau riche of Man City and Chelsea, combined with the wealth Man Utd have had for years largely means that every other club is not in a position to hold onto their players if these clubs come knocking on the door. We were a top six club until we were obliged to sell the likes of MIlner, Young, Barry and Downing in the space of two seasons and now we're facing relegation. I can see Arsenal going the same way; the board are more bothered with staying in the black rather than speculating to accumulate.

Oh and just to rub those salt wounds in, our local rivals beat and outclass a team we lost to at home 0-2.

We want our Arsenal back.

Infact that will be my new signature and will stay that way until there is a massive change at the club.

Yes, that is their job. Without a ridiculous sugar-daddy, every club board should do that. Or should clubs go the way of Portsmouth, Leeds, Sheffield United, Luton etc etc? You can speculate all you like, but, as you say, in today's distorted field you either have to compete with the rich clubs in the market (and without a plutocrat risk going spectacularly bust), spot unknown talent before anyone else does, or batten down the hatches until sanity returns to the market. Any club supporter who grumbles against this reality is delusional, and deserves to lose their club.

Delighted with LUFC's result this weekend, a 2-0 victory against a resurgent Ipswich.

Jerome Thomas scored one goal and set the other up for Paul Green. Leeds weren't brilliant but it's good to get back to winning ways after the dissapointing game against Derby last week. Roll on Chelsea on Wed night.

Yes, it puzzles me why Arsenal are doing so badly. However, I think that your form will turn around soon and I firmly believe that Wenger and his style of football is right for the club. Give it a couple of years and you'll be challenging for the title again, and I think you will finish in the top 4 again this year.

Wait did you say that in 2007, 2009, 2011 & 2013 ! oh wait 2013 isnt here just yet, but i will take it as given as its only a (pardon the pun) a couple of weeks away.

In all seriousness i know you didnt say that but i know people have told me this 'I like the way the board manages the club, i like the way Wenger wants the game to be played, just think in a couple of years with the players youve got you will be winning things' The irony of all of this is that all these players youve got (Fabregas and Song now at Barcalona, Toure, Nasri, Clichy all at Man City, Van Persie at Man UTD) will win you things, Sagna and Walcott who havent and in all probability wont sign a new deal and will leave either in the transfer window for some cash or leave in the summer for free. Walcott it would appear has set is heart on Manchester Utd, however big spending Chelsea might have something to say in that.

Now all we have is Gervhinho (the guy who cant score), Squlatchi (a player who cant defend), Chamakh, Ramsey and Arshavin whoose careers have gone backwards instead of forwards.

We also now buy players coming towards the end of there career (Mertasaker and Podolski i would have wanted five or six years ago) neither of them can get in the German national team.

How many players around the world would in all reality want to come to Arsenal now? We cant even get youngsters choosing us now. I was so happy when Ramsey signed for us instead of United, but then that nasty business with Shawcross put paid to Ramsey's career. He has been a absolute shadow of his former self and i think that a move away from the club might reignite his career again. Echos of Eduardo in that last part.

Your squad does need to be strengthened, however I still believe you have a wealth of talented youngsters who will improve during the next couple of years, such as Wilshere, Szczesny, Gibbs, Coquelin, Giroud and the much talked about
Oxlade-Chamberlain. You already have outstanding players such as Mertesacker, Podolski and Santi Carzola (who aren't that old), and in a couple of years combine them with the youngsters, a few new signings and Wenger's management and I firmly believe you will be challenging for the title.

... And I still think you will beat us in a few weeks :)

Most unlike a Newcastle United supporter to have such a very short memory of a league match against Arsenal on 5th February 2011 at their home ground where Arsenal raced into a 4-0 lead but then Newcastle United showed great character and team spirit as they battled back into the match to draw 4-4.

Norwich have the second best form in europe now...

The league cup is where it's at this year ;).

Seriously though, kudos to Norwich for how they've been playing and for the results they've been getting. It's refreshing to watch even if we no longer get Delia's antics at half-time . Credit also for the way they treated Lambert in the league cup tie

But they are not in a position to use this in either the Champions League or the Europa League, where they could meet far stiffer opposition as the reigning English Premiership champions, Manchester City, found out to their cost after the group stage of the Champions League left them out of either of these two competitions.

Mario Balotelli received this fine for various breaches of club discipline, culminating in an incident where he was seen partying in November less than 12 hours before a 1300 early kick-off match against Tottenham Hotspur.

When i was his age (hes about 20 isnt he?) I was out partying until 4-5 hours before I started work the next day!

I see the comparison that you make, but can I raise the point that what your employers were paying you to do your job at that time, surely cannot be used as a comparison to what Mario Balotelli is paid by Manchester City to perform for them...

Were you bringing your employer into disrepute by doing so though? Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view) top players and managers are by their very person representing their employer even if they're on their own team.

Gone are the days when Paul McGrath could drink you under the table on Friday and still outplay you on Saturday ;)

I haven't forgotten that match, but we are playing away this time, and also they had a player sent off, which was a major factor in our comeback. I think a repeat of this is unlikely, especially given our recent form.

It now appears that Mario Balotelli has seen that the size of his ego is not as large as the power that can be wielded by Manchester City FC, as the tribunal called for today, to decide the matter of contention has been called off and Balotelli has decided to accept the original two-weeks wages club fine.

Chelsea through after a comfortable second half at Elland Road. 5 Live seem to be in the "let's treat Villa as an afterthought" despite being semi-finalists aka business as usual.
