It is three months since the posting above was made. I note that Arriva are still running the bulk of the 130 Manchester-Wilmslow-Macclesfield service, which is a very much longer service route than the Connect 88. Can anyone suggest why, if they did not want to run an Altrincham-Wilmslow-Knutsford service, they were happy to run the 130 service ?
Possibly to do with serving the centre of Cheadle, which is a reasonable size town but doesn't have it's own station any more even though there are 2 others within a couple of miles of the town.
