Unless they did so in the pre-1980s days of short off peak trains then yes it will be as far as I know. I've certainly never seen a picture of a 4 car set in service.

The Yellow Pages advert train ran as a 4-car on the Chesham shuttle in 1998 (as part of Steam on the Met). There is a photo on the front cover of the 10th edition of 'London's Underground' by John Glover showing 5593 at the south end of the train.

I was trying to recall another one-off occasion on the Chesham branch, possibly when the first refurbished trains appeared.
Other than those, C Stock certainly didn't run as 4-cars while on the Circle, H&C and District.

Strange thing i was thinking was anyone going to be around from this group. I meet up with a few of the younger generation whom ive gotten to know whilst i have been at work. I was also on the bridge. I even got to know someone who gave me and someone else a lift to get photos on the M25.
