Evening all.

First Time poster!

After a bit of advice, me and a friend are planning a 1 possibly 2 day trip riding the rails. Were looking at using rangers/rovers and we are looking at the North East Round Robin to start off with.

The one thing were querying is do we have to stay within the "round route" or can we stray away as long as we stay within the validity zones?

Cheers

I thought the confusion was generally about whether you can double back or not. The Op seems to be asking if you can go off-route but within the boundaries of the route so basically are the lines to Ilkley and Bishop Aukland covered? I'm not sure that they are.

Also, whilst it is probably permitted to travel from Leeds to York via Selby (as only Garforth is shown on the map) travelling from Northallerton to Newcastle via Middlesbrough/Sunderland is probably not as the route shown is via Chester-le-Street.

Just my thoughts.

I agree with this interpretation
