I travelled down to London from Scotland on a Super-Off peak return ticket last week.

Are there restrictions on when I can use the return portion or am I able to travel any time on my return as I would with an off-peak return?

Just a bit confused...

OK, so you travelled from Scotland to London (which is technically in the Up direction ;)) on a Super Off Peak Return, let's say from Edinburgh to London Terminals for ticketing purposes.

(saying down and saying London before Scotland is confusing me!)

Yes: a Super Off-Peak Return is a different 'category' of Off-Peak Return, which usually have more severe restrictions. However, what these are will depend upon the specific station that the ticket is from and the destination - presumably London Terminals but it may be something else?

Sorry for making it more complicated, I didn't know about the up/down usage!

The ticket is from Bridge of Allan to Marlow but I have meetings in London in the morning so I'll just be using my ticket from either kings Cross or Euston.

It looks like I'll just have to find something to occupy myself until my ticket is valid

The restriction on your ticket is the same as the above text. Note that your ticket is valid on any train at all between London and Marlow and vice-versa.

Haha, the Marlow donkey would put me off ever living here permanently. I did it 4 days a week last summer which was enough suffering for a lifetime.

I don't understand that. If you are travelling from Marlow to Bridge of Allan via London, why won't you use the ticket between Marlow and London? It's valid on any train for that leg of the journey!

You also get one cross-London transfer (which cannot be broken & resumed)

I hadn't realised this. I used the ticket this morning from Marlow to London, thanks.
