Apart from the buses now used by First Kernow and A2B Newquay, the last Western Greyhound bus was moved out of Cornwall last week. Ex Velvet S7 BVT in pink was removed from the recovery site at Brighton Cross to destination unknown.

The August 2015 issue of 'Buses' magazine has a feature on the rise and fall of Western Greyhound - will be some of this evening's reading for me!

A very full and measured account too, not at all judgmental, no heroes or villains. It will be interesting to see what responses it provokes in the September issue. I might even write my first ever letter to Buses, only been reading it since 1958!

I agree. A thoroughly excellent account of what happened.

Can anyone link to a WG fleetlist at 'close of business' - as it were - before the December 2014 sale?
