Well done @gpiper, still waiting to hear back.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Finished my test a little while ago. Majority of it was ok, a couple of questions needed extra thought.

Hopefully I've done enough to make it though to the next stage!
Any news yet on your side chris?

If you don't mind me asking, when did you apply with Southern. Was it for the ad in December?

Does anyone know if London underground drivers apply for and have a train driver license like the rest?

We have internal Licences issued by LU, listing the competences we hold.
We do not require authority from any other body.

Well that's a shame as I was hoping they would have the train driver license everyone else has as it is an EU license in effect.

Is anyone still waiting? I completed my online test on Sunday and was worried as I still hadn't heard anything. Logged back in today just out of curiosity and found that my test was marked as not started.

Frustrated is an understatement. All the questions were exactly the same so I've answered them exactly the same but I'm pretty certain that I'm too late now.

I've emailed both tfl and SHL/CEB but I'm not exactly hopeful.

Hi, I logged back in to check my assessment as well and it was saying the same, not started so I gave them a ring and it was confirmed they have received it, just something wrong with the system I guess. They confirmed it's up to 10 working days they have to respond, so we all should have results by Friday next week.

Yeah, I emailed them and they phoned me back. I completed it again anyway in panic but seems that wasn't necessary...:|

The EU legislation allows countries to exclude Metros, and others, from the requirements, and the UK legislation only apply to the "Mainline railway."

Thank you very much for your reply. At least now I know! Unfortunately it's not worth it for me to continue as the license is what I'm after as it would give me options internationally. I have now cancelled my appointment and withdrawn my interest. Good luck to everyone still in the process.

EU train driving licence gives you absolutely no options internationally. All it means is that you have passed medical and psychometric test to Europewide standard.
That's all..

Not an opinion, he speaks fact. Having a UK issued EU licence won't mean you can get any advantage over other non licence holders in France or Germany etc.

The licence was purely introduced for ease of paperwork with cross border trains. A German driver with an EU licence can't apply for a qualified driver vacancy on GWR for example. The licence dosnt mean you are rules trained or have and traction qualifications.

I suspect people will start to be invited to assessments centres that will be held around mid march. Good luck!

Hey guys, once the situational judgement test has been completed, is there any e-mail confirmation sent out notifying successful completion of the test?
