are the 319s staying
Yes until 2021. They’ve also said in the staff Q&A group that they are getting more but I’ve no idea how many. I’ve heard various different numbers between 9 and 20!

I suppose one or two are for the Abbey Line, but I really don't get why they would want more given their reliability.Yes until 2021. They’ve also said in the staff Q&A group that they are getting more but I’ve no idea how many. I’ve heard various different numbers between 9 and 20!
One could perhaps argue that they need more in order to account for the units' lack of reliability.I suppose one or two are for the Abbey Line, but I really don't get why they would want more given their reliability.
A second hourly service along the Trent Valley would be amazing, currently there is quite large demand for many services, a large proportion (at least from the services I have been on) are well loaded south of Stafford, sometimes full and standing at Lichfield TV, and almost always full and standing by Nuneaton). In my opinion the current service is invaluable, the speed compared to many journeys by road especially within Staffordshire is amazing. A direct Northampton link would be greatly appreciated as well, especially not being at the detriment to London journey times. This rumour is truly amazing, I do hope it does actually happen!
Completely agree. Surprised they aren't looking at sending the services further north towards Warrington and beyond either to take advantage of the loadings even more. The proof is seeing loads on the platforms when I go past them as well as healthy loads on many of the services now leaving Crewe in either direction.
Which platform will the 8-car Crewe to London use at Crewe next December?
I can't see that 2, 3 or 4 are long enough. Would 7 or 8 be used, given that the train will go direct to Stafford? How long are they?
One bit of info that will go down well at WMT HQ is that Wolves Council have what seems the final bit of funding (just shy of £50 Million), to crack on with Wolverhampton's Station Redevelopment and the City's Tram Extension: at long, long last!

When is the first unit to be painted into the horrible new livery?
Already in service or waiting to be released? Any real pics?Already in I think.
It'd be acceptable if the entire front end was yellow, and I liked the LM livery from when I first saw itFunny isn't it how everyone hates a new livery at the start of a franchise, but everyone loves it at the end of a franchise and will miss it

I think they got it confused with the Project 110 livery though didn't they?I think it'll turn up on Monday at the launch event, though someone has claimed to have seen it elsewhere in the thread.

I thought it was quoted on this thread as being on Sunday? or is that just the photoshoot?
It would make more sense tomorrow being more quiet, but with the predicted snow, could be interesting! At least bright orange and purple will be seen quite easily in the snow.
4 is long enough, and EMT can use 2 or 3

Apparently this will be the 172 in question, on Monday.
