So I just received an email...it was from HSBC though, not EMT.

I hope we all hear early this week, everyday is literally dragging on and on!

Don't...do...that!!! o_O:lol: I about had a heart attack there!!!

I reckon it'll be Tuesday. The OPC will send the remainder of the results across tomorrow, and then Marie will sort the emails (or phonecalls perhaps) out for Tuesday.
You never know, perhaps some people will be offered a start date too this week, particularly if they're to fill some January spaces. ;)

It's not just me checking my frikkin email every 10 minutes then. Pretty convinced i duffed it so preparing myself for that. Snow was appalling in the East Mids this morning, i'd be surprised if Marie got into work, and, if she did, may have been pressed into emergency guard/dispatch work if loads of others couldn't get in (or couldn't get anyone to look after off-school kids!)

You’ve received your email!?

Congratulations! - No news here yet! :(
I sat mine on Wednesday and have received my email asking me which depot I would prefer
I think there are some negotiations going on at present with course numbers so there may be some delay with emails

How do you know that? Strange that no one else has been emailed.

Oh well, the wait goes on!

Ok everyone. They are sorting it all today. My email came to me on Friday but it was sent in error and shouldn't have come when it did. So no-one should be panicking yet. I have spoken to Marie today and she is in the process of sorting it into order for courses etc. so pretty sure everyone will find out today and tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone. just a level 1 medical to pass now (always another thing to get in a tizzy over lol)

That’s a lucky mistake for you!

Don’t get in too much of a tizzy! There’s a blood pressure test! :D

Yeah it was a nightmare all weekend as I knew Friday afternoon and obviously it was killing me as couldn't say anything. I have to say this though;
I will feel massively if anyone fails the MMI as to be honest the questions were similar in my opinion to the Driver Manager interview and they had passed us all. They also know the day to day role of a driver better than anyone.
In my interview he kept saying how did you feel and eventually I challenged him on it and said to him,
"You keep asking me how I feel and I'm not sure what you are getting at I felt nothing other than doing the hob I was trained to do". At that point I thought I'd blown it but now I wonder if challenging him may well have been the correct course of action.
It just felt as though they were looking for buzzwords and as a person who for years interviewed managers for high salary jobs I was a little disappointed in how the MMI was done

This normally emotionless gnarled old cynic just shed a tear of joy, a boyhood dream is very near. Now to get down to bmi 32 for the medical.

I've got my email too.

I'm hoping it's good news for the people that went up on Thursday! I know they follow this forum but don't post so good look to those guys and girl !

I wouldn't worry too much about having a 32 bmi, congrats to all that have made the grade.

Hello guys, I am ecstatic to say I have also made it through the process. I can’t quite believe it!

Congratulations to the rest of you who have also had some good news today!

For those of you who haven’t received the news they wanted, I cannot begin to say how sorry I am for you all. I know it’s easy for me to say but please don’t give up on your dream. You will get there!

I look forward to hearing about the next stage now we are in the talent pool with regards to the medical and potential courses!

Very well said PotentialTrain! :D

Everyone has worked so hard to get into the Talent Pool, so a massive well done for that!!! Hopefully, we'll all have start dates before we know it! :)

For everyone waiting to start the recruitment process, I'd like to wish you the best of luck, and I can't wait to read of more success stories on here very shortly!

And, as PotentialTrain has mentioned already, do not worry if you were unsuccessful on this occasion. Get your feedback, work on what you need to work on, and try again. Don't give up on the dream! :D
I too was unsuccessful at the MMI back in 2014, so I got the feedback (which proved very handy) and worked on getting some more experience ready for this time round...and now I've somehow ended up here in the Talent Pool! :D

I know one person who has failed on one question in the MMI. Feel so bad for them. I have a tip for everyone. if you are asked in your medical if you snore, the answer is no. lol
Hopefully see some of you guys in March with a bit of luck. (thats assuming we get on the March course

Anyone had any offers of a start date in January?

Since the initial email saying I'd passed I've had nothing. I am aware that these things take time, I was just curious!

I was initially offered January but since then I have been refused release which is annoying to say the least. Just proves that being internal is actually a hinderance and not an advantage.
I believe January was nearly full from the remaining people from the talent pool from 18 months ago. (yes it can take that long to get on a course.)
However I am reliably informed that they need many more people this year so I am expecting the vast majority of us should be on the April course. I do believe a couple of people have been given January courses but I am not 100% sure.
they are starting the recruitment process again in January so there will be a batch of people through by March again.

From someone who applied in November 2015, and who is only starting a course in January 2018, I suggest you don’t all get too excited for a very early start date. January course group will be together till probably mid April, and I’m not sure there’s the capacity to run two courses at once.
