Adjudication
Some confusion seems to have arisen earlier regarding disruption to services, so it may therefore be useful if I post a reminder of how it affects the playing of this quiz.
It doesn't!
(Sorry - couldn't resist! Now a proper explanation...)
Any day-to-day short-term disruption on the network (of the sort that is reported on National Rail Enquiries) may be ignored for our purposes, even if it has resulted in the closure of routes or stations.
Only when such disruption becomes more long term do we have to take any notice - as a general rule of thumb this means any closures that are expected to last at least one month. If an unplanned or unexpected event results in closures that are going to affect play, an announcement will be posted on the thread. Details of any closures affecting play can always be found in the Red Section, listed in the second post on page one of the thread (after the rules.)
Similarly, any closures caused by planned engineering work may also be ignored for our purposes. Only when it results in complete closure for at least a month, or appears in the long-term public timetables, should it be heeded when posting.
The leg which ended with post #129439 Sandal & Agbrigg is void, as no timetabled trains run direct from Meadowhall to Swinton (S. Yorks.)
