@richw It's most likely that one as I can see no other solos there in Barbie livery, and something I forgot was that most of the EO02 batch solos are being broken up or sold on. Cheers for the info!

I'm going to guess that all the other old style irizars will follow 23012 to winkleigh soon for sales, then again I could be wrong!

He’s got 53109 for breaking... could be that one? It’s engineless now,
With a bit of luck 53110/111 will follow as both past there sale by date. Haven't seen either bus in service for last fortnight but may be just in for lengthy service. As we don't require either vehicle with PVRs here at the moment there both surplus as such but may reappear.

Carmel Devon have purchased a EO02 and painted it in plain white.

Kernows old irizars that are left are all used for college runs at present. Even the former training coach still in Greenline(?) is used for college. I’d like to think the yellow school bus things are pulled off college first!

Oh god not those horrid BMCs! I hate them with a passion! Always managing to hit my head on the luggage racks getting up out of the seats, not only that but the engine at the front is only shielded by a removable leather cover! The amount of headaches I've gotten from those things, you'd think by now that they'd all be rotting away in a PVS yard somewhere!

Oh also I believe you're right, 23013 is still in the ex-greenline livery, sometimes you can even see where the old logos were if you look closely enough.

I wouldn't put money on it - 68568 was reported transferred to Camborne from Taunton during September

Depends on the depreciation left them Suggest resale value diddly squat whereas the Irizars have some value - some are only 57 plates?

I thought the Trident heading towards me on the U4 this evening was displaying the number 1, but I realised the far left hand side LEDS weren't working and that's what was left!

I've noticed a number of issues with numbers since they've been moved to the left side. Eg, 11 displaying as 1 and 16 displaying as 6.

@TheGrandWazoo True, though one day I'd love to see the interiors all get refurbished if First Kernow manage to bring in enough profit to do so.
Do u you think all these new buses would be here if they wernt making enough to pay there way ,some arent worth doing for the time they have left more changes to come .

Hi,
Further to this post I have since been informed that both 53110/111 have been withdrawn from use
This occurred just over a week ago so I'm a bit behind with things. 51 reg 40325 lives on though.
Cheers, Mike R

I recently acquired a rare pre-war Western National timetable for Cornwall, below is a summary of services. If anyone wants to see a specific timetable I can post a copy on here.

Two services to St Mawes, with the 146 using the King Harry Ferry if I recall correctly. I have a post war timetable showing it running that way.

@busKernow Just saying, fifteen of the E200MMCs were funded by the council with "growth fund monies" according to the Kernow enthusiasts page, so they don't have much money to splash at all, especially with the repaints, constant re-branding of vehicles, maintenance, tax, insurance, and all the other things.

That means the other 26 ‘18’ plates were self funded at Around 1/4 million each. £6.5 million outlay still for the 18 plates.

Pre war service 146 consisted of one journey in each direction between Truro and St Mawes weekdays only.

yes your right about the Partnership but why paint & refub buses that arent all staying ? i never said they had loads of money to splash but they have put lots of invesment in here & even if some were part funded even half the cost is a big outlay in a rural area & wasn't it u that said we were not having SR Solos ? .....watch this space !

Green MMC on the T1 this afternoon, first I've seen, although I'm aware others have experienced.

It was 33311 on T1/T2 duties today, caught it on the 10:35 T2 service from Truro to St Ives. Think its only the second time a green E400 has appeared on Tinner duties, and the third time an '18' plate E400 has appeared, as Uni MMC 33301 has also appeared on the T1/T2 services

@richw You could be completely correct, though they could still be paying the buses off (they may be on lease while they pay them off fully)

@busKernow It'd be a very good thing to see, I can still see where the former Torpoint stickers were on some of them! That alone should tell you that they need a refresh, I've included a photo I took back on April 11th. If you look closely, you can see where the Torpoint logo was on the side of 32758!

P.S. I had said something along the lines of no SRs, as both demonstrators that came to us on loan had failed their tests in portloe, unless that new route idea has now been scrapped and the older solos are being replaced?

The 51 already goes through Portloe narrows. The new MMCs don’t fit through which is why the 22/50/51 which interwork are old Darts And Solos as they are narrower than the MMCs

Aha! Looks like I will have to ride those routes soon, as I haven't been on them for a considerable amount of time.

Cheers for the info as always!
