Firstly i would like to apologise if i have posted this in the wrong forum,
Secondly i would like to say Hi, I have just joined this forum i actually found it while searching for info in google.
Well i am actually trying to find a copy of the blue book for conductors, their used to be a copy on the RMT site but it does not seem to be their now, well i supose you would like to know why i need it:

Well i am been dismissed from work due to ill health ( the reasons ) would have to be a further post as it's a little complecated, however the toc i work for say they will not be giving me any payment.
They re-trained me in a different position under the advice of Bupa 6 months ago, however now say they are infact dismissing me on ill health with no payment.

I wouls apreciate any help or advice on this matter or any help in finding any documentation that will help me, by the way i have contacted the RMT and they are not sure if i am entitled to official payment by law.

With respect, old chap, you need to speak with a specialist employment Solicitor. The Union should have organised this already.

If they will not be providing support then go to Solicitor who is familiar with nthe Railways THAT is most important.

If the RMT solicitors will not work for you then send me a PM and I will pass you the name of a very good railway employment specialist solicitor.

You will have a right to be accompanied to this meeting I think. Also you should ensure that you make any notes yourself.

If at all possible ENSURE you are accompanied. DO NOT go alone if you are allowed a representative to accompany you. If necessary request a deferrment of the meeting in writing until you can arrange for a representative. Speak with Thomsons, who by the way are a good firm of Solicitors.....I have dealt with them from the other side of the table so I speak from experience.

Here are a couple of links to read.

Well as far as i know the meeting is still scheduled for later this week however i have not revieved anything in writing, i have a RMT rep going in with me, so at least i will have someone to advise me.
I would also like to mention at this point even Bupa have stated in medical reports they believe my condition has been caused through my work, thay i advised my employer to remove me from my job over 18 months ago and put me in a different role, my employer ignored this and i went on to have 2 further operations.
My employer then retrained me in a different role after my last operation, however they now say they can not afford to keep me after i have been doing my new job for aprox 6 months.
