002 only had a C exam just before Christmas here so shouldn't be due quite yet. Exams are still being done as per lease agreement.Anyone wanting to catch 43002 is strongly advised to do so in the next two to three weeks. It is almost due an E exam, which is very unlikely to be authorised.
Yes, and the more you look at it the dumber it gets. For example, 43172 is currently stopped for a G exam, despite there being only around 5 months more of HSS HST operation and GWR having 64 power cars for 30 diagrams. The sensible thing to do would have been to plan it properly, six months or so in advance and, if they could, stop/off-lease vehicles before they got to the point of needing major work. Instead, GWR are spending £250k or so on a G exam, with (by the time work is finished) probably 4 months in service - and that is but one example.Exams are still being done as per lease agreement.
Anybody know the whereabouts of 002 & 185 today?
Many thanks

I think my figures are accurate. 13 full sets and 2 sliding door sets (one on training) means 15 SET diagrams - 30 power cars required. Which is what I said.I think your figures are a tad out of date, AFAIK there are only 13 HST diagrams.

15 sets diagrammed means how many power cars diagrammed? You said there were 30 diagrams...
I noted 43002 waiting at the head of 1C93 Paddington Exeter yesterday (Tues June 8th)43002, 43185 was doing the 15.04 from Westbury to Paddington today.
Travelled up on the 1105 from Westbury to Paddington behind 43185, I didn't look to see what was on the rear as I only just caught the train.
