It appears as if it's just departures, from the northern runway, arrivals still appear to be operating, for now.

Looks like departures have resumed.

Incidentally I'm sure that during the Gatwick drone incident, Heathrow boasted that they had technology that would not allow drones to disrupt flights there? :rolleyes:

The suspected drone sighting was north of the airport, near to the northern runway (09L/27R)

Both the airport & police decided it was safe to continue accepting arrivals on the southern runway (09L/27R), given the distance between the two.

Could have been a bird, you never know

According to the BBC News, the sighting was of red and green flashing lights very close together about 300ft off the ground in Harmondsworth, so it does sound more like a drone than a bird. The time was quoted as being just after 17.00.
