I don’t think they are for the 242 as it’s due new buses shortly along with the 254 but it is strange these buses on the 2 are running around with no branding apart from the colour at the front.
I am planning a visit to the area later this year to see the new First buses in Glasgow amongst other things.
From what I can ascertain the new buses are branded as follows:-
33201 - 33222 E400MMC
Service 75
33323 - 33225 & 33251 - 33268 E400MMC
Service 18
44663 - 44674 E200MMC
Service 241
44675 - 44678 E200MMC
Service 65
Any corrections or help with places to go to see them (especially the routes that don't go in the City centre) appreciated.
Don't forget Knightswood (re-located to Scotstoun in the mid Noughties) and Possilpark (closed in 2000, with demolition finally taking place around 2013-14 or thereabouts).
Possilpark used to run (from memory) 8, 10 (partly now M3), 18 (when it used to run to Springburn via St Georges Cross, Maryhill Road, and Bilsland Drive), 54 (Summerston via Balmore Road to Penilee), 55 (Summerston via Maryhill Road to Hillington), 57 (Summerston via Maryhill Road to Pollock Centre, changing to a 48 to High Possil via Shawlands and Balmore Road), 75 (The Milton* to Castlemilk), 89/90 Inner Circle, and the Kirkintilloch services (the present day 88 etc).
The 10, 18, 48, 57, and 75 went to Larkfield, the 54, 89/90 went to Parkhead, the 8 and 55 went to Knightswood, and the Kirkintilloch routes went to Cumbernauld. As mentioned above, my memory may be hazy here.
* "The Milton" that I referred to is the area just north of the Hawthorn Street vicinity of Possilpark, with the theme of road names being named after islands in the Highlands e.g. Skerry Street, Rassay Street, etc. This area is also famous for the former Celtic, West Ham, and Scotland internationalist Frank "Where's the burdz" McAvennie was originally from. Also, "The Milton" is not to be confused with Milton of Campsie near Kirkintilloch, Milton of Buchanan in the Blane Valley, nor Milton in the east end of Dumbarton.
67024-67035 E200MMCs are on the 34/34A.
34 can be seen at Govan Bus Stn and the 34A at QEU Hospital. Routes then join up at Cardonald Stn (Berryknowes Rd)
I was up there recently on a Saturday and noticed that the two routes did not inter-work, all 12 buses were out and I managed to ride on all 12. Not sure what happens the other days of the week.
Im sure i seen a 34A that went to hospital then Govan , maybe it done that at night .
Not all buses on 34 will be the new buses , think they are 4 short
Knightswood closed 2004? Sure I took some photos of it about a year before and that would’ve been 2002/3?Don't forget Knightswood (re-located to Scotstoun in the mid Noughties) and Possilpark (closed in 2000, with demolition finally taking place around 2013-14 or thereabouts).

Possilpark had the 75 for a year then it was put back to Larkfield when it closed. The 75 was done from larkfield
Probably locals refer to it like that. A bit like Calton in the east end is called by some ''the Calton''.Was the 18 EK to Sprinburn before Summerston?
Never heard oof it being called ' The Milton' juts Milton .

The 18 did run Greenhills - Springburn back in 1998, then with the advent of the "Overground" in 1999, it switched to Summerston via Byres Road replacing that section of the 57. The 57 in turn was revised to run Charing Cross - South Nitshill via Shawlands, then changed to the 56 at Darnley to continue via Paisley Road West, replacing that section of the 9 which was revised to run to Linwood.
The locals do indeed refer to "The Milton", similar as to how the large public park Glasgow Green can be referred to "The Green".
He lives in Cornwall - might be sick of old Tridents! That said, in that case, he would also be sick of new e200/e400 so perhaps okAppaently new buses for 38 and maybe 60 , not confirmed . You could come and get the older buses like the Tridents in the meantime?

We do like to put 'The' in front of schemes in Glasgow. The Milton, The Calton, The Gorbals, The Hurlet and so on...
Seems too be a west coast thing, giving something the definitive article makes it seem more important - same on bottles of whisky.
Maybe also to differentiate your neck of the woods from the unending sprawl of Greater Glasgow - a kind of "you know you belong to XYZ because you call it The XYZ"?
I can't think of any equivalents on the east coast (e.g. The Fintry or The Muirhouse just sound weird - "The Meadows" in Edinburgh is a little more upmarket)
Do Scotstoun have some journeys on the 1s?Trident on the 2 tonight . Still Tridents on 21
B10BLE i seen run in service to Osborne st on a 1 . Then not in service , all the way back to Dumbarton? Surely thats a long dead milage.
I don't have a clue where that isScheme at the HUrlet?
Do Scotstoun have some journeys on the 1s?
I believe Dumbarton have got B10s for local routes and do make the odd occurance on the 1s.
