61593 toiletbox reported to be scrapped.

This was the bus involved in the Cardonald RTA?

I’ve never been a fan of the B7Ls, the B10BLEs are still going strong however. Wonder who’s idea it was to order 2 different designs to be delivered at the same time back in 2001/2002.

The 2001/2 period was the final year of B10BLE production in the UK, with the B7L taking over, hence why they went for two different types.

These are believed to be ex Compass Bus MX05 OTC, & MX55 NWK. **Confirmation required**

MX05OTC is for certain one of them. I can't fully confirm MX55NWK.

As i mentioned above they were part exchanged for a pair of coaches from Aberdeen.

Even if they were part exchanged, the fact that First of all companies are taking second hand 05/55-plates in 2019 just shows how desperate they must be.

Surely they would have been able to find something through the usual group cascade if they were in need of additional buses?

Saying that, they did have similar E300s before (SN03 WMJ / WMU) , except that they were owned by Falkirk Council (along with three Mini Pointer Darts which would occasionally change operator if certain contracts were given, the E300s always remained with First) and all ended up being sold years ago as First weren't interested in buying them outright when the Council didn't want to own them any more.

I disagree, it doesn't really show any desperation. Few people would have bought the coaches anyway as they both leaked quite badly. Both the E300s are in good condition inside and out so out of anything First got a bit of a bargain here. The ZF gearboxes on them will make them pretty suited to the longer work which FSE have.

Yeah, they may be in decent condition and who knows what sort of price they've paid for them. Compass Bus part-exed them and the dealer may have offered a good deal.

More new fleet imminent https://flic.kr/p/SoW4nQ

Airport e200s rumoured to be going to Wales in return for darts.

As per my previous posts, the Darts are confirmed as coming just wasn't sure where from.

Believe the new deckers are for the 60.

This seems to be Glasgow at its best.

Instead of putting them on other routes within Glasgow that probably need them, and need them badly, they send them elsewhere in exchange of Darts that have probably seen better days.

I really hope this isn’t true but then again it wouldn’t surprise me. The airport E200s are high spec and Euro 6 so it would have been good to have retained them for LEZ. I always thought they could have been put on the 77 as it goes to the Airport too. Glasgow seems to have an obsession with darts... can’t they get some 13 or 14 plate E200s from somewhere rather than 06 plate darts...

Yeah I know but look at the last airport vehicles. They needed them then and still let them go .

Just been informed the new vehicles are for the 38!

One in depot has branding on it which confirms.

34363 - SO68 HFG

Really thought it would have been the 60 as per the map colours. Can't work out first glasgow

Edit: Picture in the first glasgow bus group showing rear Branding for 38 same fleet number .

The airport buses are no good to Glasgow due to being fitted with luggage racks the same as the last lot weren’t you also need to remember that when an opco receives new buses others are surplus and it is groups decision what happens to them. Glasgow is getting plenty new buses in the coming years to meet the LEZ and yet we have people moaning about losing a few!

Another way of looking at it (assuming transfers are confirmed) is that First Glasgow will get new e400mmc and some 2005/6 Darts, whilst losing 2016 e200mmc and some 2001 B7Ls.

Not only that but it means that whilst First Cymru get some modern fleet having not received any new deliveries since 2015. Bigger picture to be addressed!

Must be quite a chunk of the allocation of e400mmcs coming to cover all of the 38!
It would be good to see the 60 get the upgrade though as it’s crying out for it. Even if the buses that are pushed off the 38 are refurbished for it then it would be a huge improvement on the alx400s.

39 required for the 38 I believe

This year's 75 vehicles should be going here then possibly

38 = 39 e400s mmc
500 = 10 e400 city
77? = 14 e400 mmc
242 = 7 e200 mmc
254 = 5 e200 mmc

The peak 242 schedule normally gets a bus required later in the day by engineering so if it’s 7 for the 242 I would suggest 1 will not be branded.

True or overtown will get 11 with again 1 extra e200 like the pink ones running around but I have heard the 242 getting increased frequency with the expansion of virgin media moving to eurocentral and that they were both in talks

A large Lidl warehouse is also opening in the eurocentral
