I’ve been waiting since April for a start date for Reading. I know these things can take time though. Is there a time limit for how long you can be in theseTalebt Pools before you have to go through the whole recruitment process again?

IIRC but stand to be corrected, the last lot to be binned from the Talent Pool (and there were a few on this forum) had been lingering in there around the two year mark!

That is certainly true. I got through to managers interview and was told I’d been successful and then placed in the talent pool only to be eventually told it was to be closed and I’d need to reapply.

I have finally been invited to an interview in December (passed stage 1 in June), it mentions the MMI and a selection interview, I haven't come across that terminology before but presumably this is the DMI?

It'll be the Stage 2 Multi Modal interview only

Hi,

I'm just wondering if it's a good idea to contact the hr department to ask for updates every now and then or just leave them to contact you?

I am currently in the talent pool for the Oxford depot.

Contact away, but they will tell you nothing.

I found out today that I have made it into the Oxford Talent Pool. I won’t be pestering HR for some time. I have a feeling we might not know more until next year now, obviously things might be different depending on where each of us are on the list.

Nice one, would be nice if they told you where you are on the list, I wonder if they can tell you?
Yeah I was thinking new year too but I'm expecting a long wait :)

Yeah would be handy but just knowing I’m the Talent Pool is a good feeling. How long have you been waiting in it?

My waiting is over! I have my start date in the not too distant future. My notice is handed in at current job and I’m counting down my shifts until I leave. It’s taken about 6 years altogether from when I first applied and had a few knockbacks but I’m finally getting the opportunity I’ve wanted for ages! I can’t wait!

So today was a good day. Received a conditional offer and have a medical booked. I also have a provisional start date for training, in a few months time. So relieved to finally see the light st the end of the tunnel. Hope more of you have good news soon.

Yes, I applied for the recent pool vacancies so am some way behind you. Always good to see things moving along and another on the forums getting good news though.
