Also spent the afternoon updating my FSW fleet list using Steve White's First national fleet list dated Oct 2018 and later updates. According to those sources I believe FSW reckons it still has in stock 23009 (accident victim) 32808 32846 32876 32879 38004 40322 42474 42521 42522 42526 . In reality most if not all of these must have been disposed of.

I think you can also add to that list Volvo B10BLE trainer 62238, Y947CSF. Apart from the various comments on this page the majority have disappeared into thin air since withdrawal.

I think some of the other Darts still survive in the Manchester area.

They still have four 42940, 42941, 42944 and 42945 although with the latest timetable change at the end of January there is some doubt as to whether they are all still in service.

If I remember correctly, 62238 was due for conversion to a trainer but it never happened. It was then later used as a temporary waiting room whilst Penzance bus station was being worked on.

It was still stored at Penzance a few weeks ago.

Funny how some of the Volvo B7RLE ‘s that replaced them also ended up (back) in Manchester.

Just got some close ups of The Go Cornish Trident at Padstow on the A5. Some basic foreign language learning today!

A third new Solo has turned up in Camborne today I have been told. No identity yet but it’s a green one.

On the subject of training buses anyone know what happened to the Dart that was a training bus with First Kernow? Was it 42252? Last report I can recall was in use st Dawlish when the railway line was washed away 5 years ago.

It shows the vehicle stored in Bristol Muller Road in May 2016. First show it officially off fleet in April 2017 - most likely, but no confirmation, to one of the Barnsley dealers - most vehicles stored at Muller Road seemed to end up there sooner or later.

Superb pub!
I've booked my car in for a service in Crowlas on Thursday and will be A17 or T1ing it back to PZ so may well pop in - I agreed to meet someone for a drink there once but cried off, and I realise that person died in 1997, so a visit is long overdue!

Most of the Darts that were in Muller Road went to Alpha in Northumberland.
I recall asking Steve White what had happened to 42252 and he told me he had actually seen it heading north behind a towing vehicle. I'm not sure of the date though.
Re 62238 whether it was actually used for training I know not but when I visited Long Rock Penzance (with permission of the supervisor) in July it definitely had an instructor's seat fitted. That was when the yard was full of withdrawn Caetanos and withdrawn B7TLs of the 30871/2/3/5/7 variety. The last thing I expected was a few weeks later Bath would be home to reinstated 30875/77 and 873 but this one never entered service. 30871 has of course now joined in the fun ex HE.

Solo's WK68 BSU/V both at Camborne. Both are green and the former is all marked up and carries it's fleet number.

Not quite - it was 69206-9 that replaced them and they’re on the better side of the Pennines!

However, you’re right that a number of the 14/18 ones did return from whence they came. Indeed, the FSW (Somerset/Plymouth) B7Ls similarly returned back to Yorkshire

Thanks for the correction, memory must be a little fuzzy. Look forward to trying a pint of High Speed Death at some point.
