What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld
Fair play to Liverpool - they won the Chumps League. Enjoy the parade.
Fair play to Man City for the Domestic Treble.

It all counts for nothing when we start again with the Charity Shield and the new Season; clocks back to zero and we go again!

Stretching things a bit, it could be said that the top two teams to beat are Arsenal and Aston Villa, being as the sides in the division are listed in alphabetical order at the start of the season. :)

And to think, both finalists for the European Cup nearly went out at the group stages. Spuds only getting 1 point from their first 3 games and Liverpool losing to the footballing giants of Red Star Belgrade

We also beat PSG, Bayern Munich, Porto and Barcelona. Champions of France, Germany, Portugal and Spain. The Premier League champions got beat by Crystal Palace, we only got beat in the league by the Champions who we battered several times previously. Makes you think.

Still no Premiership title though!
18 league titles. If you want to just go on the name of the top division then Liverpool have won the top division more times than anyone else. 18 times, how many times have Man U won the Premiership?

Outside of Liverpool, we simply don't care. Clock back to zero tomorrow. I'm interested in what happens in the current leagues/competitions not 'istry.

Jesus Christ. I was replying to someone saying we haven't won the Premiership. Football didn't start with the Premiership. That is all I was saying.

But you did go into the final round of games needing at least a 2-0 victory over the Italian team, so it could have easily turned out to be Europa League had that final game not gone your way.

Real fans. I never claimed there weren't any real fans.

I think "majority" is an exaggeration. As the success comes there will be more and more Internet fans which I'm afraid no one can control.

Man United and Liverpool clubs have been milking this for decades and the City top brass will do the same.

I can tell you I work in London and the place is literally dripping with plastic scousers will cockney accents.

Just enjoy the win as the merry go around starts again in a few weeks.

Amazes me how stressed some people can become by a certain football club enjoying a bit of success

You should see the Redcafe (Man Utd) forum. Someone really needs to post Samaritans info on there, some of the posts are frightening.

Well you know in the last 24 hours I've had a blue (Evertonian) tell me Liverpool are Fascists because of the penalty we got. Someone else on here whining that we'll never here the end of it because Liverpool won and all I've seen is fans of other teams moaning about us getting a trophy which we did well to win.

It's just that certain club has a lot of supporters who live in the past and who think the entire world is out to get them!
Also doesn't help that the club are perennial bottlers.

Not all Spurs fans are like that at all.

Manchester United have won the top division 20 times. That's more than Liverpool's 18.

They won the Football League 7 times. 1908, 11, 52, 56, 57, 65, 67.
The Premiership 8 times. 1994, 96, 97, 99, 00, 01, 03, 07.
The Premier League 5 times. 1993, 08, 09, 11, 13.

That isn't what was being discussed.

Mate I am 44 years old. I know what Liverpool have won and what Manchester United have won. I dispute this whole "Liverpool haven't won the Premiership" argument used as though we haven't won the top division ever.

The bit that was just before it.

Eh?

There's no way "Liverpool have won the top division more times than anyone else." can be misinterpreted. There's only one top division.

Maybe fowler9 means they won the Football League 18 times. But you can never be sure with him, as he continues to call the Premier League the Premiership, 12 years after they changed the name.
