Well 3 years back the prospect of Express coaches to Linlithgow seemed equally as ridiculous.A new route from Edinburgh Airport to Fort William using Gemini 3's?....

Oh yes sorry I didn't read it right through. My bad. I would say that the old Airlinks would most likely go straight into the main fleet, but if not then the ex Skylinks would most likely replace the remaining B7TLs on a route like the 3, 33 or 44.
If the buses were sent to West Lothian up go prices
More than 2 years. I wonder if it will ever happen. And Edinburgh still wouldn't have contactless! They've been saying it's coming "soon" for about 2 years now.

How dare people Question are overlords, and their wisdom. Trying to take over the Lothian in every respect is far more important than providing easy access for the customers who should be honoured to travel on the broken down buses to the Highlands
I suggest you reread what I said. If old Airlink stock goes on to the Skylink stock then there will be surplus of Sky link stock.

The current Skylink buses are newer than the current Airlink buses so I don't see the Airlink fleet moving to Skylink.
You got in before I could edit my post.Correct my if i'm wrong, but aren't there still 15 plates on Skylink routes?
WOW just WOW the people complaining about the changes, there all contradict each other... Why is the 33 being taken off... You still have faster direct bus to Edinburgh, Yes but it doesn't go around Danderhall, but the 48 now covers that part... I'm dont like the no 48 it will take ages to get to Fort.. So why why do you care about the 33??? Craigmillier complaints could be resolved by extending the 14 like it was always planned
You are correct. People will always find something to complain about. The changes to the 15 (no longer operating on a Saturday) have caused quite a bit of annoyance too.WOW just WOW the people complaining about the changes, there all contradict each other... at least you get it, Lothian_Bus, No one will have to change buses unless your traveling to Aaron Lodge guest house hotel... how many people really travel to this place?
How do you know nobody will have to change buses? Do you personally know EVERYONE that these routes serve? No you don't....
One criticism that might just be valid is that Lothian didn't put proposals out for consultation prior to making these changes. They've just given the statutory minimum notice, which sort of goes against the guidelines.WOW just WOW the people complaining about the changes, there all contradict each other... This has happened before, but you may want to read OTW's comment again.
He said "No one will have to change buses" (you appear to acknowledge he said that yourself), that doesn't mean no one will change buses, it just means that it wouldn't be necessary.
Yeah, the 1st B5TLs that were bought for the 100 are now used on the 200 which originally used single deckers and the rest are at Longstone in standard madder & white used on the 3s usually, that was last year of course(2018).Correct my if i'm wrong, but aren't there still 15 plates on Skylink routes?

Tbh since phase 2 or 3 ive been expecting Skylinks to head west into Livingston and if it did i wouldnt be surprised in the slightestIt's still ridiculous!
I wouldn't be shocked if they send them to the West Lothian network.
Yes you corrected me before I could edit my post.Indeed as i thought.
I agree that the changes to the 33 and the introduction of the 48 are good moves, don't know much about how the 15 is doing.....but Lochend is pretty well served with buses as is Penicuik with 37/47 so don't think it's leaving any major gaps..... I suspect that, as is often the case, the "outrage" in the media is from people who rarely actually use the 15...
Since the 15 was taken out of Portobello i barely used it, and not even for journeys to Morningside etc (not intentionally) but I imagine that it was a similar feeling unless you lived on the route, if I stayed in Penicuik i’d be disappointed but what can you do? If it’s been withdrawn now it’s never coming back again, one day the service entirely will be withdrawn and boom use it or lose it!
Also is the 21 really going to be every 15 minutes between Broomhouse and Lochend only? because that’s extremely disappointing since the 21 was a perfect frequent service from the hospital it would be stupid to cut it back to every 30 minutes Monday-Saturday, especially since unlike the 15 it was more likely to be used more
