today I will mostly be at home decorating
The tests marks (2 of them) are not made public, the whole point of the tests is to find natural ability, anybody can pass with enough practise, the idea is to get as far as possible without getting any wrong (or missed), accuracy is as important as speed!

It is more about accuracy and they will re emphasise that at the beginning of the test. So don't panic because its not about the fastest or the most done its seeing that you can do a mundane task for 10 minutes and not lose concentration, so just make sure you are not missing out any sneaky groups of 4.

Good Luck! :D

(oh and dont quote quote me on this, but I seem to remember the instructor saying you will LOSE points if you make a mistake, so being thorough is the key I think)

hi when i did my practising i was getting about 1250 sets of dots done in the 10 mins and i passed.

...just thought I would say WOW, that is blimming fast! that would mean you were crossing off 2.08 groups of dots PER SECOND! Your hand must have been smoking

Well strangly enough on the previous attempt I got all the answers correct but apparently took too long. So i'm just worried as to how long is too long!

I thought the marking was a combination of accuracy & speed?

I know someone who made three mistakes and failed - he was quietly told that to encourage him to come back for another go, as he'd passed the rest of it at top grade. He admitted he'd been rushing it.

Id like to add that was on the computer practice software i prob couldn tick them that fast on my actual test i think it is more accuracy. anyway i never found that to bad its the computer test i failed 1st time round. When doing it never try an catch up with it just stop and re start a few of us all failed on this by pressing keys after them being on screen.

The pass mark is not made public. However to give you a rough guide, i completed about half of each page, but with extremely good accuracy. That was enough to give me a "good pass" according to the assesser.

Oh I only know the old fashioned way with lots of dots on a piece of paper and a pencil. Didn't know you could do it on a computer. ... but to confirm a previous comment, with the paper and pencil version I got about half way down each page and got a good pass. :)
