Stagecoach are replacing the TrentBarton side of Pronto with 4 new E400 MMCs from 26 Feb.
Are Stagecoach going to operate all the Mansfield - Nottingham short workings as well as the full Chesterfield - Nottingham route?I wasn't aware of TrentBarton coming off the Pronto - is this an amicable thing? Or were relations between the two companies strained? Was it a case of Stagecoach waiting until they no longer operated the parallel train service from Mansfield into Nottingham?
Genuinely curious, as it was always an anomalous service (e.g. in terms of what tickets were permitted) - but at least with TB coming off that means it can be fully double decker I guess.
I thought TB wanted to get rid of the tempos due to reliability. I think the Scanias are more likely to stay if any are.Expect Trent pronto scanias will be withdrawn or kept going for use on download. Volvos 732 to 735 are meant to transfer to kinch replacing the 4 Tempos. These are likely to be cascaded to Notts and derby or TM.
E200 Mmcs are also likely to replace the Citaros on Derby Skylink due to ongoing reliability issues.
I thought the Volvos were going to go to Skylink Express but the Mango after the Cotgrave hasn't seen use since the new buses.
I think they'll just cut their losses with the 03 scaniasas there isn't a requirement for them.

I had a soft spot for the original Tempo but looks like their defo leaving Kinch. The earlier Tempos were/are quite good. I guess that is why they still have the 4 at Kinchbus. CT4N still have some, and lots are with Lynx in Norfolk so they can't be too bad! Often down to how they are maintained / what mechanics are used to dealing with / what routes they are on rather than simply being a bad bus.
735 now debranded and in use at Kinchbus.
Trent still seem very short of buses with alot of journeys being dropped daily. Spondon flyer down to one bus today as no spare available and it makes the least profit. Could see this becoming an unbranded service soon to make it easier to take buses off it to cover elsewhere when required.
Looking on bus times both Solo SRs 501 & 503 are currently tracking on the Spondon FlyerTrent still seem very short of buses with alot of journeys being dropped daily. Both were at the bus station at around half two with one on the stand along with a large line of people.Looking on bus times both Solo SRs 501 & 503 are currently tracking on the Spondon Flyer
Bus missing on villager today and yesterday. 4 Royal solos sat in garage today too.
Lots of runs missed and fares going up next month yet again, neither good for their image.

Royal Derby doesn't operate today.Red Arrow dedicated coaches also somewhat reduced. At least 2 Mangos out in their place.

I don't see what the big deal is to be honest.

When you claim to be The Really Good Bus Company and you continually put out vehicles that are not up to the standard expected it's not surprising that people notice when Trent standards are slipping. There are many such instances on most days.
To be honest, I did have a look on bus times tracker thingy and I do see what you mean. And I do agree standards have been slipping. What I'm saying is that yes there are an abnormal number of vehicles out of service but it will blow over soon I'm sure.Exactly, the Royal solos should be in use on the routes that are missing buses today, Saturday, (unless they are all VOR).
This is not done as company policy is not to use a branded bus on a different route. Surely operating the service should be a priority?

I said I agreed with them being subparWhy 'soon' ? - they've had similar problems for many months. They haven't really matched their hype for some years.

Just because an issue has been going on for months doesnt mean that it will continue for many more. I'm basing my judgement off experience
Anyway back on topic,
High Peak have the following Mercedes-Benz Citaros for their Skyline service:
801 FM11 EJV
802 FM11 EJC
803 FM11 EJD
804 BN12 EOX
805 BF62 JYW
806 BF62 JYX
807 BK13 XYD
808 BK13 XYA
809 BK13 XYG In a new High Peak livery
810 BK13 XYH In a new High Peak livery
801, 802 and 803 were Isle of Man buses. 804 was a Stagecarriage bus. 805 to 810 are from Yourbus.
The new High Peak livery is the new Centrebus livery with High Peak fleetnames.
8 branded buses for a pvr of 6? Then again more buses than pvr are branded for transpeak. Good job they don't have reservations about using branded buses on different routes!
Scania 697 now with midland classic, assume rest of scanias will come off soon and transfer elsewhere in centrebus.

Not a big deal when I wait for 45 minuets last Saturday for my bus to town because it didn't run. The one I got home was the first in a hour and a quarter because the bus was still missing later on in the day. In these cases a incorrectly branded bus would be better than no bus at all.Royal Derby doesn't operate today.
