Is it possible to collect a TOD from a TVM at London Heathrow anywhere? If so, where please?

Have look here, the only time I'd use the Trainline for any info! No info for Heathrow stations on the National Rail website which is odd.

https://www.thetrainline.com/en/hel...-my-tickets-when-i-arrive-at-heathrow-airport

The info on the Trainline link may or may not be slightly out of date, but all three stations do indeed have Ticket on Departure machines.

At Terminal 5, the one at Arrivals level may not be there currently, for example, but the one at platform level (ie follow signs to the Heathrow Express and take the lift to 'Trains' level) certanly is. Likewise, at Terminal 4 and Terminals 2/3, the machines may actually be next to the ticket offices, rather than opposite them.

Where exactly are they located at Terminal 5 and also Terminals 2/3 please?

Also, is it easy to transfer between T5 and the T2/3? I assume its a free journey using a Contactless Card on Heathrow Express?

I am not travelling. However, a family member is landing at Heathrow shortly. They have had to take a rescue flight to Spain followed by a regular flight BA to Heathrow. So no, I am not tavelling but am trying to help a member of my family get home ASAP.

I thought it would have been unlikely. I assume they have provision to self isolate?

Yes they live alone so totally. We've been able to leave supplies in their place already for when they get home so they'll have everything they need for 14 days. They've received conflicting advise about if they need to self isolate or not. They've been based in Argentina but Iberia ran a rescue flight for the Spanish government to Madrid, which they were able to get a seat on. Transit in Madrid now enroute to Heathrow (nothing to Manchester) so now need to get back up North. They're going to self isolate anyway to be sure.

They definitely have National Rail machines somewhere but I cannot place them.

In terminal 5 I think they are on the arrivals level landside near the HEX desk.

Correct. In T5 they are in the arrivals level near the entrance to the station. That's at the North end of the building, near the domestic arrivals exit.

Yes, the machines are the TfL New Style machine (blue), but would be issuing National Rail livery ticket.

My family member used a TfL machine in T5 near the way in to the station and the ticket came out on National Rail Orange Card stock.

I understand he used his Contactless card to get between T5 and T2/T3 on the Heathrow Express and I assume there will be no charge for this.

As long as he touched in and out there shouldn't be a charge. If he only touched in there is likely to be an incomplete journey charge.
