Hi all,

I scored 12 according to my application. If that means anything? Hoping its added to the result from the SJT haha. Hopefully we'll all know the result within the coming weeks....

Hiya,

If you type Greater Anglia login into Google and then enter your email and password when asked, you should be able to find the application from there. Once you've located it, click download and the application score should be stated on the top of it....

Hi everyone,

I've just registered and I also applied for the trainee mainline driver vacancy in Norwich. I did my SJT on Saturday and I am just waiting to hear back whenever that will be. I've seen in another thread a couple of people have not passed, so may hear the same if that's the case for me but at present, no news is good news. I have heard of one person already getting their assessment day next week but I have also read the thread from 2019 where a couple got pushed through quickly and for others it took months. What will be will be. I'll take that as having more time to refine my psychometric and interview skills. Good luck everyone.

There doesn’t seem to be any real sort of pattern to things does there. Some people get assessments and things and others have to wait, like you say. Although now people are unfortunately hearing they’ve not passed, it might mean we hear back soon either way. Fingers crossed!

Well, reading back at the thread of people who applied in Feb 2019, some who didn't pass heard quite quickly, those who passed didn't necessarily hear anything for weeks, not even that they passed to the next stage. Their applications would say 'under consideration. The best thing to do is to get on with life, also keep refining your skills and interview techniques like half an hour a day, then if we get to the next stage we should be pretty prepared for it. While my application still says 'under consideration' then I'm still in the running. Good luck to you.

My application from 2019 still says "under consideration" despite having an email saying that all those outstanding applications will not be retained.

Does anyone know if there's any practice tests for the assessment phase.
Not the SJT.

I've not had a result back yet from the SJT, but prepared to start practicing now.

I subscribed to a test suite with various psychometric tests, there's also an Elite version that I haven't subscribed to yet but if you search how to become a train driver on youtube and explore the links below videos like from the channel CareerVids as well as the free content (Disclaimer: I do not endorse this channel nor am I the content maker or business owner) you should be able to find ways to get psychometric tests.

I've received an SMS that I've received an E-Mail from Greater Anglia but no E-Mail, and its the right e-mail address. I'll wait a while to see if it comes through.

Check your spam folder.

Thanks bud, I ended up finding it in my promotions tab, I overlooked it the first time cause it was under a persons name rather than greater anglia.

I'm the same, im waiting in the pool having passed. I applied for Norwich.

Hi,
Does anybody know the current shift pattern for a GA mainline driver?
Does anybody know what the pension contributions are and what age you can retire / how many years minimum?

I would contact HR but I know they are very busy at the moment .

Many Thanks

Depends very much where you are based.
