If I want the times of trains from A to B I still find it the best way.Depends what you're after. If it's just live running information I tend to use RTT.
I just use it for trip planning and seeing if my train to work is on time. Nothing complicated. I’ll try my work phone later and see if that has the same issue. I’m glad it’s not just me as I thought my phone had been got at.Depends what you're after. If it's just live running information I tend to use RTT.
Agree - I'm thinking an advert that is set to full screen immediately - but then doesn't load..The player controls suggest it's trying to display a video ad of some description.

I'm glad it usually does what you need, but isn't it good to have multiple apps, some of which may meet other needs, and certainly act as a challenge to NRE on how to do better?NRE normally does everything I need timetable wise,it’s just this current bug on the app that’s infuriating.
NRE has a "fastest trains only" option available. What other apps have the same function as well? For journey planning I'd suggest one of the TOC sites or perhaps Trainline. Their app is very good. For just checking if the train to work is on time I'd just use RTT. That's what I do, couple of minutes after the alarm goes off fire up RTT and see if the inbound working is running to time or not!
I tried deleting and reinstalling the app this morning but it’s still the same. Is there another basic and simple app that is recommended?
RailBoard to me is the closest thing to the NRE app with almost the same functionality.I use an app called Railboard personally.
Where can I download it? It isn't listed on Play Store.RailBoard to me is the closest thing to the NRE app with almost the same functionality.
It's an iPhone app. For Android, use TRACK. I stumbled upon it recently and I think it's excellent. Basically NRE plus oneWhere can I download it? It isn't listed on Play Store.
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.
This happens when the browser sends a HTTP request header containing too much data. I'd say in 90% of cases the header is the Cookie header and it's usually the fault of the website doing something stupid to cause the size of the cookie data to balloon. What's going on and is there any way of stopping it?
Not sure I understand all that, but I'll try evicting the cookie monster! This happens when the browser sends a HTTP request header containing too much data. Sometimes it can be down to a browser extension.
As a first step, try it in a private/incognito browsing window / tab. Does it work when you do? Consider clearing your cookies for the NRE domain
I've heard good thingsOr I could try railforums own booking engine at tickets.railforums.co.uk advertised at the top of this screen
