All of the main ones for WMT and TfW, plus the 2 additional ones once for Freightliner. I'm hoping one day someone will take me on after all this testing haha

Same happened with me and then tried to log back again to check.
Then it came up with you have no tests waiting so it looks like they ckear once completed.
So wouldn't worry ....
Best of luck anyway

Some of the questions do require a Strongly Agree/Disagree but not all of them do
Ye I know for a fact one of them I should have put strongly for but I was trying to get it done whilst at work and don’t want anyone knowing! Lord help me.

I wonder if that’s scored on points or literally right or wrong

It's definitely part of the sift, could be some sort of personality test so in a way there is a right or wrong answer they have set beforehand.

I have that rarest of 'perfect storms' that is an empty house tomorrow, with all 4 of my family either at school or away for a gig. This means two things, firstly, there is no chance of any disturbance so I can do the tests without that worry. Secondly (as we are a beef free household) I'm getting me a fat, juicy, juicy steak for dinner.

Don't hate me.

Feelings of guilt incoming :D

Timings of communication received by other people is absolutely unreliable in predicting your own likelihood of success. This is a known 'thing' in railway recruitment - have a trawl through any thread on here and you'll read a plethora of worried comments based on the above, only to see them follow up a few days/weeks later with, "Yay, finally got the..."

You have as much chance as anybody else, right up until you receive an "Unfortunately..." Email.

Well let's see what happens .....friend of mine in a HR role says sometimes a strongly agree can can show a lack of flexibility, ie its that way or nothing .....but we're all clutching at straws here ....plenty of if's,buts, and maybe's do we'll just have to wait.
Good luck to everyone anyway ..

Good luck to all who applied!
Recently sat my OPC tests - don't be stressing about those, nobody here has the answers and that's the whole point of it, too match your personality/values to the job... Fretting over it won't help you in the long game!
Take a breather and let's wait for the next round to kick off!

Yeah - they're not really something you can prepare for. SJT is simply a paragraph about a train driver related scenario and you have to put in order from 1-4 what you would most likely do to least likely. The other tests are multiple choice asking about what skills you think are most or least important for a trainee driver and a few question about yourself and you rate Strongly agree down to strongly disagree. None are timed but 60 minutes of inactivity and it will log you out.

I completed a few tests then logged out and returned later and competed the rest. However, each individual test has to be completed when you start it.

From the Avanti chatbot they had on Facebook they quoted £39,000 starting, once qualified £57,000 and then after two more years £67,000. Could change really with on-going union disputes...
Thank you. Like a few others. This is all new to me. So thats great to know. Just been practising the test on the ocp site. But was starting to worry as none really related to the 5 ones on the assessment

I did the tests the other day, which took around an hour. It's definitely not something you can really prepare for, unlike for example a maths test, where you most definitely can.

The scenarios are very clever at determining your thought process, in what could be a difficult situation and that is I guess why they are used.

Good luck to everyone. I'd love to know how many applied and then eventually to find out how many were successful at the end of the driver interview. And then how many made it to the end of the training programme. I would guess a very very small percentage.

Someone in this forum mentioned about VISUAL SEARCH EXERCISE and MAGNIFICENT SEVEN SITUATION JUDGEMENT TEST. Can you practice these anywhere?

Not really, SJT is just more multiple choice questions and the VSE tests your natural abilities to react, multitask and process information

Your welcome, as far as my memory serves me, the only time maths might be relevant is the Cables and Dials test that you sit later on in the process, but i wouldnt worry about if your maths isnt up to scratch. Its quite basic, you just need to be able to cope with your anxieties, have complete concentration and make almost zero mistakes
Hi, at what point is Cables and Dials with Avanti? I cant find anything that refers to that test... or is during actual training if you pass etc

The dials test is done at the in-person paper assessments, usually in Crewe.
