Ahhh okay Yh I’ve had no call for a medical just yet did you get a call or email ? And yes my reed screening was done very fast. I gave them a call and they said it would be a while before a medicalI got the job offer in SEP and completed my reed straight away. Also just had my medical done a week and half ago. Start dates for training I was told around March / spring.
Haven’t heard anything from them yet and I got my offer July 8th. But it’s good to hear that they’re moving forwards.Been told that they’ve now started working through July! i think they’ve only just started from the sounds of it so it could still be a couple of months for us August lot
Think you get a medical check once they are ready for you, as it only lasts 6 months from when you get it. It was 5 months for me from medical to startingAhhh okay Yh I’ve had no call for a medical just yet did you get a call or email ? And yes my reed screening was done very fast. I reached out to ask because I'm in the same boat. There's a huge wait for training spaces for CSA1 so they won't do your screening or medical until they know your start date in case they expireHas anyone had any information regarding the start of night tube CSA placements, a friend of mine passed in June and submitted all his info but has yet to do a medical. It’s been radio silence ever since then
I am starting my night tube training course early January. Though my application went in December 2022 and the conditional offer was given in October 2023. So it's been a long journey.Has anyone had any information regarding the start of night tube CSA placements, a friend of mine passed in June and submitted all his info but has yet to do a medical. I received both a call and emailAhhh okay Yh I’ve had no call for a medical just yet did you get a call or email ? And yes my reed screening was done very fast. I gave them a call and they said it would be a while before a medical
You better hope you get put in a CSA1 station so you get paid HGW as a CSA2 lolLook at those figures and tell me unions are not worth it...
training isn’t hard, if you pay attention and make notes, everything you’re taught will be on your exams, as long as you pay attention you’ll pass, no one in my group failedhow was the training difficulty? anything to look out for specifically, and did u go with a union and take any insurance on your first day, im waiting for my training date which will probs be beginning of next year, bit nervous about the training
I’m september offer and I had my medical 2 weeks ago, but they still said it’s looking likely for a late spring start for usAhhh okay Yh I’ve had no call for a medical just yet did you get a call or email ? When did you have your medical? I was under impression that DBS is valid for a year. But I could be wrongJust got off the call with TfL, they informed me they are waiting to be given the training dates for March and that those who got the role in early July will be prioritised. In my case, I’ll also have to redo the DBS and drugs test as it will probably be past 6 months by then but they said it will all happen before the start date so it works out well.

I had my medical back in September, think it was the end of September. When did you have your medical? I was under impression that DBS is valid for a year. But I could be wrong
Yeah I wasn’t sure but since they mentioned I might need to redo it then I would assume it is valid for 6 months.it’s valid for 6 months

I got my contract before I went to trainingPeople who have passed training, how many days/weeks did you get your contract before starting?
i was told to expect my contract 3-4 weeks before my training begins.People who have passed training, how many days/weeks did you get your contract before starting?
Hopefully will get mine before Christmas holidays start.i was told to expect my contract 3-4 weeks before my training begins.
They’ve frozen internal staff transfers until march, my managers son said they’ve put his training on hold until marchHopefully will get mine before Christmas holidays start.
that won’t have any impact on us though will it? i assume they’ve done that to get more new starters training. They’ve frozen internal staff transfers until march, my managers son said they’ve put his training on hold until march
yeah i kind of expected training to slow down/cease over the festive period. would that have any impact on new starters who start training in january/february though? It’s not at all uncommon for training to pause over Christmas and New Year, especially if trainers have accrued too much unused leave. However, it’s hard to say if this will impact new starters, as it depends on what trainers are available - all internal training definitely hasn’t been stopped. Stations trainers don’t necessarily train trains () for example.
