Not allowed to take any unfortunately.Any pictures?
Possibly!Because they’re a designer and not a rail enthusiast?
Fair point.Probably like me and many others, they had no idea there was a difference!
That would make senseLooka like it was made with Train Sim World's livery designer in which case it was using the version of the 170 that is in the game

Jacob, do they look like seats that are the same (in terms of the basic design, not the trim / any extra features) as those fitted to any other classes of train? And can you tell us anything else about the interior?170101 looks good inside with the new seats. They look very skinny in design.

Ah thanks - I thought they might have been those, as they're the same make/model specified for the East Midlands Railway 170 refurbishment (which I understand to be related to the CrossCountry one).Unless they've changed the spec since what they published, the seats are the FISA LEAN which is used on all UK FLIRTs and the Class 196.
The cab drivers seats have been changed. The overall appearance looks to be good. I haven't been inside and probably won't to be honest as it's not my kettle of fish.Jacob, do they look like seats that are the same (in terms of the basic design, not the trim / any extra features) as those fitted to any other classes of train? The seat backs are thinner in comparison to the old seats. If they've gone for a thinner than usual cushion the legroom may be OK, here's hoping...

It looks smart now inside and out having seen it at work myself.Spotted in Stafford. (Credit to Taylor Lewis on Facebook)

Time was when the passengers had more comfortable seats than the drivers did.The cab drivers seats have been changed. The overall appearance looks to be good.
looks better than the drawings. They made it look pinker than reality.Spotted in Stafford. (Credit to Taylor Lewis on Facebook)

Rather agree, doing a Northern and putting them in the same silver as the body side or white like the large X would have worked better. The cream colour looks like a random splurge on the colour palate. The X being white instead makes the cream doors make less sense!
Can you confirm this? The cab drivers seats have been changed.
Nope. That will be completely different. Are the voyagers going to be refurbished using a similar colour scheme?
Looks good! Although I've noticed the PIS still looks original on the outside. Isn't that supposed to be getting changed or something?Spotted in Stafford. (Credit to Taylor Lewis on Facebook)

Yes. Mixed used wheelchair/bike space is now verboten. It's behind the 79 car cab on the drivers side.Has the bike space been moved to be behind one of the cabs then?
YesJust seen 170112 passing Wolverhampton heading North. Assume this is the next one?
Yeah because I've seen the seats at work .Can you confirm this?
I get the Bike space, but it seems a bit odd to move the wheelchair space away from the large toilet, unless they’ve created two areas for wheelchairs and the like?Yes. Mixed used wheelchair/bike space is now verboten. It's behind the 79 car cab on the drivers side.
Thanks. Just had visual confirmation, re-covered originals rather than new seats.Yes
