Signal berth codes?

The line to Weymouth Quay has BLOC and KED-

It's been closed (and lifted) for a number of years...
Presumably the panel (and interlocking) itself hasn't been amended and so the berths were filled in at one time to aid signallers and have never been cleared out. Has the stub to the level crossing actually been lifted? It's not unusual for the stub at the connection to the active line to be retained to avoid the need to intervene in the interlocking.

The map on Traksy was updated at the time the tramway was lifted, and iirc the berths which are there now specifically refer to the stub siding which was left. The last I heard about that it was completely overgrown, but still signalled.

I was in Weymouth in November; there is no track across the road outside B&Q to Commercial Road these days - it's been recently resurfaced.

However, I didn't think to look at the other level crossing at the north end of B&Q...

According to Google Street View, the crossing on Commercial Road was removed between September 2020 and May 2021. The one at the north end of B&Q was still there as of November 2021.

Then, sometime between November 2021 and June 2023, the section outside B&Q was converted into a footpath and art installation called 'The Track'. As of June 2023, the tracks crossed the car park entrance and then immediately stopped.

Anyone know what these codes mean on Traksy?

Areas where line blocks have been in place due to the recent storm.

I know signallers each have their own uni way of doing things but this has baffled me

ESW showing at Acton Bridge currently (where there is a signalling problem). Special working?

My guess would be disruptive passengers onboard 1A36.

I have often used *BTP in the past when a train is delayed in a station, awaiting the removal of similar delinquents.
Now it's on the move precisely that, delayed awaiting police attention.

Due to an electrical fault the bay at Exeter Central has been out of use for a couple of weeks. The panel are having fun by changing the berth codes regularly. This is this morning’s. Do they read this thread?

That suggests a unit with Deflated suspension is there so maybe a more immediate fault is taking precedence?

As we’re on the topic, I was very lucky to have my name interposed onto the Cross Panel at Kings Cross PSB just before it shut…

Hi, does anyone know what ‘YOBS’ means?

Not seen these kind of berth codes before on the East Coast Main Line - would be pretty handy to provide additional context during disruption/delays.

Exeter Central now has "W8IN GLOC". Not sure how to decipher that? W8IN obviously 'waiting'.
