Very much looking forward to the Wolds Bus, I didn't get the opportunity to use it last year so will certainly be using it. Does anyone know if the same promotion is happening this year as last, where tickets on X46/X47 from York, Beverley and Hull are valid on the 200 meaning no additional ticket is needed?
The 822 is a favourite of mine, looking forward to getting back out on it this year!

I find their promotion around the 535 a bit odd ... they say it's timed to give connections at Fridaythorpe with the 200, but then (a) the timetable doesn't mention Fridaythorpe unless you click "all stops", which seems a bit of a mistake, and (2) it only gives connections to/from Pocklington, which is fine for anyone wanting to go to Huggate or Millington (anyone actually going to Pocklington would almost certainly use the hourly 145/X45) but doesn't give people the option to get to Thixendale. If they ran the morning journey earlier and the afternoon journey later then it could give good connections to Thixendale and not-so-good connections with a longer wait for Huggate and Millington, but would give people all the options rather than just some of them.

What are these on loan to cover for? Is it a vehicle shortage at present or due to the seasonal increases in frequency at resorts.

There was a temporary amendment to some services at the end of February where the frequency was cut back, I believe these are to restore the frequencies back to what they was before the amendment.

My understanding is they will keep their Norwich fleet numbers. I believe they are on loan until about June/July when hopefully more of the hybrid conversions will be done

I believe some ex Nat express coaches at Hull are moving to Compass for new school contracts in Sept.

Does anyone know what they have won? Is this the turning up on competitors list Shoreline and target their income?
Believe they’ve won the Conyers School contracts in Stockton

Hull will be receiving more electric buses

Today (Tuesday 8 April 2025), the Government confirmed it has made £3,907,844 available to increase the scope of the region’s ZEBRA2 (zero emission bus regional areas) project and enable the purchase of 42 more electric buses for use in the city – bringing the total number of new electric buses that will soon be operating in the region to 82.

Presumably this large number of new electric buses, on the eyms side, would allow many older fleet members to be disposed of, and a large scale cascade of newer buses to some other depots, or.......?

It certainly should - with around 40 new vehicles (assuming the new award is split roughly equally between EY and Stagecoach again) and the 17 repowered B5LHs, that's going to put some serious inroads into the older portion of the fleet.

I understand that only 6 of the new 42 are earmarked for EY and with work on the depot works not commencing until July it could be a December delivery date.

Tomorrow EY hopefully see the arrival of Two 2023 ADL E200 MMC for the recent win on Hull Park and ride services

Next week EY have 4 brand new ADL (assume deckers) coming

As from yesterday 823/82x as arrived at Anlaby road

It appears the other 4 are also E200s.

Any news on the remaining coaches for Nx

Thanks for the updates - it has been suggested on the East Yorkshire Enthusiasts FB page that the four new E200 MMCs will be followed by four more Volvo B8RLE/MCV, as well as the electric 'deckers later in the year *and* the balance of the Scania/Caetano coaches for National Express work. That's impressive investment at last.

764 has been repainted into the new livery, losing its previous Falklands special livery.

I wonder if 778 in Wyke College wrap might be done soon into the new livery as the Wyke branding has been on over two years now.

East Yorkshire has the M5 between Helmsley & Thirsk, along with:
M1 Hull - Pickering
M3 Pickering - Danby
M8 Helmsley - Castle Howard
The M1 feels reminiscent of the Moors Explorer 1 ran by EY following the National Park ending funding for Moorsbus. Glad to see that the East Riding will once again have a connection to the Moors this summer.

I think it is the ME1, just in the Moorsbus fold, given we have other Moorsbus routes.
