Are 159011, 159015 and 444015 out of action? I have been checking all three in RTT, but none of them seem to have worked for a while now. Does anyone know why and when they will be back in service?

I would imagine it’s actually part of the Siemens “handback” program rather than storage.Carl Watson web page has photos of 444015 in short term store at Eastleigh works
Thank you to all who replied.
What is the Siemens “handback” program?
444015 yeah has been at Eastleigh since March 27th. I assume some works to be done by Siemens.
455.868 has been out of service for a while I believe - awaiting axle/wheelset replacement? Anyone know when it last worked in passenger service?

455913 went to Bournemouth on the 24 January. I believe is for component recovery and a long holiday!
Timing seems set for this to be the GBR reveal unit. Rumours suggest the press event is at Bournemouth depot. Paint shop?U.444015 has been badly graffitied on three coaches and I'm told is waiting for a repaint, parked up between two Class 701 units (007/52).

seeing as graffiti like this just gets cleaned off I’d be very surprised to see the unit repainted. post 25th May, the company name formally changes to South Western Railway Limited and the DfT own the SWR name as such. it won’t be coming off as far as I’m aware. Lots of the FirstMTR stickers are off already. 4015 needs 12 wheelsets that’s all that’s on the stop sheet.U.444015 will be repainted at Eastleigh Works as they won the tender for doing the work.
The staff who were employed at Bournemouth depot in the paint shop are currently doing cab paints on 444/450 units at Fratton Depot.
So it unlikely any event will held there. The only alteration to units on May 26th will be the removal of MTR logos and SWR logos, both of which can be peeled off.
although just meant a lot of sweat, swearing and about £800 of materials.seeing as graffiti like this just gets cleaned off I’d be very surprised to see the unit repainted. post 25th May, the company name formally changes to South Western Railway Limited and the DfT own the SWR name as such. it won’t be coming off as far as I’m aware. It could be the graffiti method used since alot of them are using more damaging materials now than previously knownalthough just meant a lot of sweat, swearing and about £800 of materials.
