SWR Units Out of Action?

Are 159011, 159015 and 444015 out of action? I have been checking all three in RTT, but none of them seem to have worked for a while now. Does anyone know why and when they will be back in service?

159011 seems to have been in service until the end of March when it retired to Salisbury depot.

159015 has been at Bournemouth depot for a C4 overhaul.

444017 has been hard at work on the usual Desiro routes.

I would imagine it’s actually part of the Siemens “handback” program rather than storage.

I’m not entirely sure. All I do know is that as the originally 20 year Siemens deal has finished, all the desiros need an inspection.

Timing seems set for this to be the GBR reveal unit. Rumours suggest the press event is at Bournemouth depot. Paint shop?

The staff who were employed at Bournemouth depot in the paint shop are currently doing cab paints on 444/450 units at Fratton Depot.
So it unlikely any event will held there. The only alteration to units on May 26th will be the removal of MTR logos and SWR logos, both of which can be peeled off.

Lots of the FirstMTR stickers are off already. 4015 needs 12 wheelsets that’s all that’s on the stop sheet.

I was only repeating what I was informed by SWR staff both regards the unit & stickers, it came from a reliable source.

It could be the graffiti method used since alot of them are using more damaging materials now than previously known
