But haven't most depots only just stopped them scrolling?

There has been a recent change to DDA legislation which means adjustments need to be made, scrolling will have to be turned off in order for this to be applied, every depot will be adjusting their displays to adjust what is required as long as the correct size on the top line is met then its up to Depots which font they use in order to achieve this...

It may be possible to do what Fife does already, and that is that the bottom line changes without scrolling. Basically, it flashes when it changes.

20540 hit the road at Carlisle today on the 93 and later then 600's. Should be visiting Lillyhall tonight on the 300. Looks a right state this one. The other 2 are being prepd for service. Would seem they are replacing never XVMs!

Will upload the rather poor photo I got shortly.

thought they would of repainted the ex-ME B10s, dont think some have been done since the swoops scheme was introduced.

Agreed I don't think they have been painted for a long while. I think the ex ME Ps are at CE on a temp basis until darts can be freed up. I imagine the R regs they are replacing will obviously be going to another depot...maybe KL?

After been in Essex for 10 days and having to use First bus services I am glad to be back in SC territory lol!

There's a lot of stories going around. Before all of this CE were hoping for 4 Darts from Gilmoss which will hopefully happen once the Tridents are in service. It would seem that the XVM ones are being shipped out. Last I heard it was going to be 20908/65/77 leaving, 977 in paintshop at present and 95 only having a new engine not so long ago. Not sure if it will still go ahead but 2 striders were heading to Carlisle before these ESA ones. Anyones guess if it will still happen.

One word, madness!

Been away at RIAT for a week. Surprisingly a lot of bus action was had...including a lot of time on Bristol VRs belonging to Chepstow Classic Bus, who also had ex-Ribble/NW Leyland G185 JHG (ex-14185) there...

En route to Carlisle yesterday, passed 16638 heading towards Cockermouth (out of service). On my way back passed 16330 with a freshly painted arse end heading towards Carlisle (out of service) A swap perhaps???????????

So the X12 is been launched on Aug 14th, are they doing anything special to the S reg MANs?

Also some services changes coming up for Chorley and South Ribble from September 4th:

I like how Stagecoach north west were brutally honest, re the change to route 3, saying that one section won't be served because "hardly any customers ever use the route". Here in Fife, they'd say "due to a lack of use" or "because of limited use".

20540 & 20544 are both in service with Carlisle today, 20545 is sitting in the depot spare after having door repairs. 20795 is also here from Morecambe and is in the bodyshop today and looked to be having advertisment boards added.

20908/20965/20977 are now withdrawn from service at Carlisle. 20977 is still in the paintshop at present. The list of out of use B10Ms at Carlisle is now 20895/20908/20909/20924/20943/20965/20966/20977/20979.

16338 is on the pit after being spotted at Lillyhall yesterday. 16351 is not present in the depot. It is either way for MOT or it has moved on.

Love Barrow 47149 & 17331 are both here for painting.

I saw 16338 heading back towards Carlisle at approx 16:40 yesterday, it was heading down towards train station from town centre.

From what I have heard 21003/4 are going up to CE. No idea about 21005 but I spotted 21007 heading into the bus station this afternoon so it would seem it is still working out of ME.

I would think that 20128/31/33 won't see further service (save for the Olympics possibly). Don't forget the rest of the batch has already been sold.

I really can't see the point in sending B10Bs to Carlisle, that would be going backwards. I can't help wondering if Carlisle are after some investment...

Strider due at Carlisle around about this weekend to see another another 2 XVM's. There wont be any left apart from 20904 at this rate! Yet to see if 20795 is going to see service here too.

Would imagine 20128/31/33 will be in use for the Olympics. Lillyhall should be bare throughout the event too.

Could the B10Bs be related to school work? Belt them up etc? Even then it makes no sense to me. They are non standard really and M reg but are easier to access then B10s and have had interior refurbs and 3 out of the 4 have LEDs...I don't know what the reasoning is lol.

Of course all the ex ME stuff could just be going up on a temp basis (as mentioned earlier) until further replacements arrive then all the ex ME stuff could return to ME to be stored until the Games.

Nice thought but nothing to do with school work. There is 1 B10M school board (94s) and 20451/20904 are here for that. It's just madness!

Given the number of B10M's VOR at CE the past while, one would assume simply temporary.... But it is Stagecoach!!

At least it will be something of interest, and Different to point a camera at!(Especially if they venture out my way on the 300 slot!)

The only B10Ms that have been VOR are ones that are not needed! Carlisle had a huge pool of B10M's and not all of them were needed so if one broke (924) then another could be used instead (909) and on and on...
