I have heard a similar thing, however Kendal are already only getting just enough Scanias to cover PVR with no spares.

I was told that the Scania for Chorley was an extra (the 10th for NW) shoehorned in.

Gez, over to you....

Evening all,

I've heard a little rumour that Chorley are to get one of Kendal's new Scania/E400s as the PVR for the 125 is to increase by one bus shortly. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Cheers.

For the time being Chorley will be recieveing 19019 which has just been repainted and will arrive over the weekend, a decision will be made shortly as to weather a new E400 will be coming in and 19019 move back to Preston other movements in are 47021, 47016 and 47655, 34679 & 34680 will move to Preston shortly.

Do you mean 47016 ALX400? Just that 47017 is still in service with Morecambe....

I assume the increase in Solos at CY is because of the service revisions to 109 etc?

Oh  yes 47016, and yes service revisions is the reason, regarding the Scania its more likely CY will recieve a new one later on.

I believe 19019 is a Manchester vehicle working out of Hyde Road.

More buses on service X5 between Workington, Cockermouth and Keswick from 31st May - now to continue beyond September indefinitely!

Stagecoach is pleased to announce that due to the success of the extra journeys that we introduced on the X5 service between Workington and Keswick for the summer, these journeys will now continue to operate all year round and become a permanent fixture of the timetable.

There has been some changes to the recent fleet movements, the optares at Chorley are now 47019, 47021 & 47655 and all will be staying. 19019 was in the frame but is now no longer, 17021 will be coming across for a few weeks till the NEW Scania E400 allocated is ready for delivery fleet number TBC, there is also a few odd comings and goings over this weekend only so i shall leave that to see if any of you can spot any on routes they wouldnt normally be on..

Oh and one bit i have forgot..34679 & 34680 will remain at Chorley...lol all will be revealed soon.

Beat me to it, 22825 has a ghastly rear ad for Lancaster & Morecambe College.

14196 was also around, badly in need of paint - the rear looks very pink in places!

Workington... Yay.
Last day of half hourly Seatollers today, although the axe hasn't fell on the open top Volvo's quite yet, one wonders if there will be a future for said buses within the Stagecoach Group? I doubt the two Titan's in Scotland will be replaced by them.

Word is they will be sold out of the group.

Hardly surprising, although given the state of some routes tree wise (I'm thinking 556 among others), keeping 16294 as a tree lopper would be a good idea!

17201 as been re-registered to VRR 447, noted today at Heaton Park.

At least this and the other V-MEV example will be getting cherished plates to hide their age. (So everyone assumes they're X regs)

07andrew - I can't confirm either way with 20994, but I can't imagine it has long left being the only NC bodied B10M in the NW.
