On Friday, I was surprised to see that there was an Arriva Trains Wales 57 at Stalybridge in the sidings near the signal box.

Did anyone else see it? and what was it doing there?

I got pictures on my mobile and will upload soon.

I can't think why it would of moved there unless it just went out on a test run/route learner from longsight?

The ATW 57s are hired in from VT,and ATWs hire contract ends on Dec 9th,the ATW branded 57s are often seen on the Nth Wales Pendo Drag. so any guess why it it was there, just surplus to current requirements, or on test run for future use.
