My son, age 17, travelled from York - Manchester and was caught on arrival without a valid ticket. He’s no doubt told them a load of rubbish about how he had a ticket but lost it. I doubt he had a ticket at all.
It’s the second time he has been stopped with no ticket. The first time he was on...
I'm looking to book for the sleeper PAD-PNZ for 31st March and PNZ-PAD for 3rd April. But when I look online the Sunday night sleeper doesn't seem to exist and the Wednesday night doesn't seem to have any tickets. Is the Sunday night cancelled? Does the Wednesday night say no tickets because...
Many years ago, I ran a West Yorkshire Rail Challenge with my scout group. We split into teams of 4 and, armed with day rover tickets, set out to visit as many stations in the WY Metro area as we could in a day. Points were awarded for stations visited and depended on the difficulty of visiting...

I've tried without railcard and it doesn't make any difference. I'm surprised at the cost of the fares 3 months in advance, even given that it's the summer holidays.
I'm looking to buy tickets for 2 adults and 3 children with a family railcard to travel from York - London on Sunday 6th August, departing some time between 17.00 and 20.00 and returning on Wednesday 9th August departing some time between 15.00 and 18.00. I can see some advance LNER tickets...
I have some sleeper berth tickets to collect. The email says to collect at the station. I assumed I could collect from York. But I get the following message. The information desk said just show the photo of the screen to the guard. Will this work?
I received a voicemail from GWR yesterday to tell me that the sleeper is cancelled. The news today says strikes are suspended. Does that mean that the sleeper will be reinstated? Thanks
Thanks. That's surprising as the person in the ticket office, who has worked there for at least 20 years that I know of, said there were limited numbers. Is there something I can show to prove otherwise?
