    Jeremy Corbyn's Traingate

Do you not think any press releases like this do not go through internal legal vetting before being published?

Andy Burnham in pledge to renationalise railway network

The only reason Burnham is saying he'll nationalise the railways is that Corbyn is doing exactly the same thing. It really doesn't matter though, both of them wont win the 2020 election.

Greater Anglia Good and Bad Discussion

According to this information GA rates 5th out of 21 TOCs with the oldest average age of rolling stock, rather contradicting your post.

Greater Anglia Good and Bad Discussion

It seems that the 321 demonstrator's aircon has not been working - and with no windows to open it's been hitting the local news. http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/13367817.Commuters__boil__on_trains_with_broken_air_con/?ref=mr&lp=14

Overground/Crossrail takeover of Greater Anglia inners

I appreciate the correction. Stabled is a much more elegant word :)

Overground/Crossrail takeover of Greater Anglia inners

Well it looks like the majority of 315s have now been relocated away from being based at SouVic. Haven't seen one parked in the eastern part of the sidings (the main area) for a few days now. Pleasant in that it's a lot quieter around here now.

Thank you for the reply :)

Overground/Crossrail takeover of Greater Anglia inners

When TFL/CR take over the Liv St to Shenfield service will this mean the few Class 315s housed at SouVic be relocated to Ilford?

Evidently we just had scope creep in this thread and it has now included the very bad passengers as well.

How is Stansted Airport viewed in terms of rail access from its catchment area?

And everyone who gets on the train should expect it's an Airport focused service. If you dont want such aggravation, get on the fast Cambridge service. There are also announcements about the baggage placement in train isles too. This is a discussion board. Get over yourself.

How is Stansted Airport viewed in terms of rail access from its catchment area?

Do you use the Stansted Express much? Because if you do those safety announcements would be pointless if they were north of Stortford, because that would mean you get them in the last 10 minutes of a 40-45 minute journey. You dont get your emergency drill while you're flying on the final...

How is Stansted Airport viewed in terms of rail access from its catchment area?

It's kind of hard to justify a link to Braintree when the "new" A120 could get you there just as quickly.

How is Stansted Airport viewed in terms of rail access from its catchment area?

The biggest benefit for the local area with the SE is for commuters who live in Bishops Stortford and Harlow Town. SE's often stop at one of these stations after Tottenham Hale before the Airport so it cuts down on journey time considerably even vs fast Cambridge services. I think an easy win...

British Rail Class 321 (I'm mainly talking about the ones AGA use here) - opinions?

My issues with the 321 is that they are way too cold in the winter (Too drafty, what rushing air comes in nulls the heating in the winter), and too hot in the summer (no aircon, open Windows is the only way to go - and not very effective - even in the low 20s it can get very hot and sticky very...

GA metro when crossrail comes in

Then I guess they're parking them away from what was their regular spot for years then ;)
