    LNER - "Delay not compensable"

Thanks to you both. I did ring LNER this afternoon to explain the situation and was advised by the helpful person on the other end to reply again but to the "delay not compensable" message with a copy and paste of what I'd written previously, which I have now done so. I'm only due a fairly...

    LNER - "Delay not compensable"

On Wednesday 31st August I was due to travel on the 23:33 service from KGX to PBO. Due to an earlier cancellation and lots of events taking place in London that evening this 5 car train was full and standing. The scheduled departure time came and went, then a person who I assume was the train...

Weather disruption Sunday 17th July and following few days

Thanks. I've reserved them seats on the 09:30 and told them to speak to customer services to make sure they'll be allowed to travel on that service.

Weather disruption Sunday 17th July and following few days

LNER saying tickets for tomorrow are valid on Wednesday and Thursday. My parents were due to travel on the cancelled 10:06 out of KGX, surely they should be able to travel on an earlier or later service?

Lumo - new Open Access operator on the East Coast Main Line

Many thanks! That extra 30 mins may make a big difference in persuading more people to take the train instead of the plane.

Lumo - new Open Access operator on the East Coast Main Line

How much quicker could the service be with the current stopping patterns, if given better paths?

    Avanti West Coast: Standard Premium

I have to wonder if Standard Premier will go the same way as the GNER Standard + did, although it does offer a little bit more than Standard + as that was just a standard class carriage with complimentary tea and coffee.

    Trivia: Speed Records

I'm sure I remember doing KGX to PBO in 39 mins on a Saturday evening years ago, but I may be misremembering the departure time of 20:00. I just remember the clock on platform 4 saying 20:39 I'm sure many will be along soon to tell me that can't possibly be right!

    Best UK 'High-speed train'

I went for the Class 373, but it was a close choice between that and the 225.

Major disruption out of London Kings Cross (28/5)

Oh that explains it more then. So it's just a light that would be Illuminated when doors are unlocked like we've seen for years on units and coaches, but this one was flashing because it's just newer and the guards key was still engaged? Because of where the light was (not near passenger...

    Werrington grade separation updates

Just a couple of quick pics I took whilst walking the dogs this morning. Looks like it's been handed over to Network Rail or about to be.

Curious to know what the flashing light on the last car is for?

    Caledonian Sleeper

I see that The Caledonian Sleeper is now on, or will be soon on Seat Frog. It'll be interesting to see whether this increases passenger numbers or not. Apologies I've just seen this was mentioned a page ago! That'll teach me not to look beforehand!

Entire 800/801/802 fleet stood down for safety checks

But according the LNER notices the Azumas aren't effected by this, only "Hitachi, Class 80/0 family trains are" ;)
