Ta. As it happened it was fine on the day, there was loads of disabled parking and all the trains were (nearly) on time.

If all OAP's could have half-price off-peak tickets (instead of this railcard system) I'm sure there would be massive take-up!

Wasn't sure if they were allowed to "book" disabled cars who had overstayed there anyway, but later today I'm going to have a look round there for them and ask at the manned ticket office.
Seems daft having all that car parking yet nowhere to park!
