Update :)
Tickets still don't work if you try to go through the barriers at Kings Cross to get to Moorgate BUT the line staff are now letting people through without question.
Same when you are coming out of the underground from Moorgate...no more questions being asked or being turned away. So...
No, as we were told to wait until everything had settled down and the trains were actually running on their advertised schedule.
Anyway, Ive been in touch with Thames Link/GNR or what ever the hell they call themselves for clarification on the rules. Ive also just seen that there is a new Rail...
Yeah that is the oddity at Kings Cross. Coming up from the circle line one has to be let out but it seems if you come up from the Northern Line then thats all fine???
Here you go;

So a bit annoyed as Im a regular traveller BUT don't qualify as I only travelled twice a week instead of three times!
This is more about the fact that "casual" ticket holders only qualify for compensation IF they travelled three times a week during the qualifying period.
I picked up the delay repay pamphlet from the train station yesterday to read what one can do for non-season ticket refunds and was disappointed to note that you can only apply for a refund if you are not a season ticket holder if you travelled 3 or more times a week.
Given I only travel twice...
No, still doesn't work on week days.
I have to get someone to let me through going in both directions (from Kingscross going to Moorgate and coming back).
Mystery just gets more mysterier :)
Great Northern saying ticket is still valid between Kings Cross and Moorgate and has asked their ticketing team to investigate.
Bletchleyite, this is where Im getting confused. Ive always been able to use the LU between Kings Cross and Moorgate (until this morning that is) and I was travelling on a London Terminals ticket to boot.
So Great Northern, through twitter is saying London Terminal tickets are valid to Moorgate while London Thameslink is not BUT yeah...not helped by everyone being lumped in together by LU and being stopped getting through the gates to begin with.
Its a bit more of a problem than that as it was the barrier that didn't open and only after asking the man to let me through did I get the "London Terminals no longer includes Moorgate". This is when the season ticket holder got stopped and he demanded the station manager come down to explain...
I purchased my usual ticket from Peterborough to London this morning but got stopped at the barrier to the underground saying London Terminals no longer meant Moorgate??
Has something changed in the last couple weeks where you can now no longer travel between Kings Cross and Moorgate??
A chap...
