    London NorthWestern - Crewe

Hi Just wondering if London NorthWestern has a Driver depot at Crewe and/or Liverpool Lime Street and if so, how many drivers are based at each? Also are Qualified Driver Vacancies advertised very often here and is the base salary £57k? Plus what routes and traction do you sign, what’s the...

    Move from TOC to Freightliner

Intermodal is on a regular shift pattern that repeats like TOCS and the nights can be every 4th week I’m told. I hate nights too. It’s weighing up for me the change of work, nights which I don’t have now but weekends mostly back. It’s a tough one as 40 now and feeling the shift work more. Not...

    Move from TOC to Freightliner

I have asked someone there and it’s only £20 more then I pay now. So maybe depends on each company. Yeah I am at a TOC with a long weekend every 3 weeks. But you only get the Sunday off from lates to earlies or vice versa and the Wed/Thurs off every 3 weeks. When you do a Sunday (outside the...

    Move from TOC to Freightliner

Yeah thanks I was thinking the same if did make the move. 1612357813 Yeah I’m doing as much research as I can as it’s a big move from TOC to FOC. Losing the travel privileges isn’t great. Yeah I can imagine like any driving, it can get repetitive. I suppose for me at the moment it may come down...

    Move from TOC to Freightliner

Hi, currently 9 years on the railway this year. But been driving passenger trains my whole career so far for 2 TOCS. May have an opportunity coming up to move over to Freightliner Intermodal and wondered what our other drivers experiences are both good or bad? I don’t dislike my current job or...

    Class 379 - Coupling

Yeah I only signed them in Feb and not had to couple/uncouple one yet, there is certainly a knack to it and yep they only have internal doors for the trolly. Would of been better without and a buffet/snack bar in my opinion. Yep software issue is probably the likely issue when there was one...

    First TPE HR email address

Thanks for all the info and naughties guys of what I shouldn't do! Lol

    Class 379 - Coupling

News to me and I drive them. Unless there is a fault with a particular unit. They can be a bit temperamental at times splitting and normally work generally as 8 cars anyway on the airports. It's the origami internal doors that take the time lol

Haha I use to drive buses too and thanks :-)

    First TPE HR email address

I work for Greater Anglia, some might say the same about them. But i don't see it that way. I like the mix of inner/outer surburban work and they a good company to work for. With Northern you get a great mix of routes and traction, so got my fingers crossed with them more than anything.

    First TPE HR email address

Oh I see, should be the same across the board for all TOCS.

    First TPE HR email address

No at all, Northern my preferred option for sure and already in touch with them. Just keeping options open and not all my eggs in one basket as they say. How can they make existing drivers take psychometrics again as with The European train driving licence this allows you to drive anywhere in...

    First TPE HR email address

Can anyone who works for TPE or knows from previous encounters, please message me with an email address for HR if there is one? I'm qualified driver trying to contact them regarding any speculative vacancies that may arise soon, as I need an urgent move north due to relocation. Many thanks if...
