  • Hey plastictaffy,

    Thanks for the reply!

I have now started, a week into training and have my rules starting tomorrow!

I am going to be based in Northampton. I tried PMing you but I am not sure if you're receiving them. Got the rulebook on friday and I'm not gonna lie- I am pooing my pants about passing the rules tests.. looks like so much info and we only have two weeks!
Hey Plastictaffy, I am messaging you after having read through a few threads on the Trainee Senior Conductor role for London Midland from Oct 2012. I noticed you went through the same process as I am at the moment.

I am currently going through the process of applying. Have passed the tests, had my interview today and if successful I'll have to do my medical and then they're taking people on in January! I am really excited about it and hope I get the job! I thought I would drop you a quick message to find out about the training programme and what to expect? The interviewer informed me it would be based in both New St and Northampton (where I'll potentially be working from if offered the position). Just wanting to know any tips really? I am starting to learn the routes to try and get ahead but if there's anything else you can advise me on for example the modules/anything I can get started on researching prior to training?

    Thanks for reading!

    Ali
NO biggie. Got another chance with my current TOC. I already do a Safety Critical job as a Senior Conductor, so for me it wasn't a huge drama - although it was a huge disappointment!!!
Didn't have an interview that day, it's all classroom stuff, very boring. The interview will be after that, at OPC in Watford. Unfortunately I didn't do that as I failed some of the computer stuff.
Hi mate, im due to 1st round of assesments with govia 27th, they've sent a letter stating that gbt, trt, dfft and tea-occ are to be done on the day if successful. did you have an interview also?
    thanks
