    Station names in original tiling

Certainly Swiss Cottage. I didn't notice one at St. John's Wood but I'll be more observant the next time I go through. Weren't these stations both on the Bakerloo line before the Jubilee line opened?

    Station names in original tiling

I've noticed that a few platforms on the Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines have the station name in the original tiling (e.g. Camden Town, Mornington Crescent). A few even display the original station name (e.g. Arsenal/Gillespie Road; Hampstead/Heath Street; Marylebone/Great...

    List of London overground stations

There's a handy map here: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/london-overground-network-map.pdf and a full set of timetables here: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/london-overground/london-overground-timetables Not shown on the map, but in the timetable, is a connection between Wandsworth Road and Battersea Park...

Should trains wait if there is a platform alteration?

Don’t get me (re)started on this topic. A few months ago, I posted a new thread on this issue that was soon deleted because it was less than complimentary to the railways. GWR holds credit card details

Yes, thanks - that makes sense. I must admit I was impressed with the efficiency of it all. I know that ticket office staff and their systems sometimes get a "bad press" and disparaging comments on this forum but I've had good service from both GWR and Virgin Trains recently.

    GWR holds credit card details

A few days ago I obtained a full refund on a pair of tickets that I'd purchased from the ticket office at Paddington earlier that day (the reasons that I couldn't use the tickets are not relevant here). In the morning, I paid for the tickets with a credit card. In the afternoon when I handed the...

    Changing an FGW Advance ticket

Thanks to you both. Yes, I've come to the conclusion that speaking to a human-being at a ticket office is going to be more productive than banging my head against a web-site. And yes, they are Advanced fare tickets with reserved seats etc. so it will be be a £10 admin charge for EACH part of the...

    Changing an FGW Advance ticket

I'm trying to change the date of a return journey from Paddington to Hereford. I've booked the outbound and return journeys separately. The current outbound journey requires 1 change i.e. PAD to Newport; then Newport to Hereford. However, if I try to change the date of the journey then every...
