That's good to hear. Is it correct that the Reform insurgents will still be bound by the Public Sector Equality Duty, National Planning Policy Framework and other national level policies?
Tangential but it was noticeable that despite people in Kent regularly complaining about the Dartford Crossing, in this week's elections that didn't seem to translate into credit for Labour.
Although people vote more for smaller parties at local level. It's lower risk and wards tend to be more homogenous than constituencies so parties can break through. Our town has two Green councillors in a safe Tory constituency.
The other factor is turnout, which varies quite a bit across different demographics for example house owners are more likely to vote than flat renters.
They're hitting the campaign fairly hard in West Kent - just had our second leaflet through the door. They seem to be outstripping the Tories in terms of volunteers on the ground.
Not happening, particularly as some of the new intake of Labour MPs are to the right of the Lib Dems. It's still the first year of the Parliament so why would they expend their political capital now? More likely that the plans will be moderated when it's debated in the next couple of months...

Reform are campaigning in the Kent County Council election as they are elsewhere. From their local social media pages they seem to be doing door to door campaigning more than the Tories.
They have a series of Facebook posts with a lot of likes / comments...

On the terraced streets like mine you see the odd EV but I've just done a road of villas with driveways and there are *loads* of Teslas and others. If kerbside charging can be sorted...
