    London to Budapest

I have made the journey many times and indeed will be in again in a couple of weeks. I prefer travelling via Munich or Zurich for the overnight train depending on availability. Both are accessible via a single change in Paris, are pleasant journeys and you will arrive at Keleti station the next...

    London to Ljubijana

Cheers Gordon No idea where I got Belgrade from (shame it doesn't go through mind), must have been looking at an old schedule. Those train numbers you quoted does show a consist on Wagonweb which shows the coaches from Zurich to Zagreb as Croatian sleepers which from experience are...

    London to Ljubijana

Evening all In November, I am looking at taking the train from London through to Ljubijana in Slovenia. Obviously, I know the timetable is subject to change over the months but it seems as if the route suggested by Seat 61 and bahn.de is to go via Munich and take the sleeper which arrives at...

EN Jan Kiepura to finish in December

That looks like a very interesting service, however I confess to be a FIP user so a single berth on the Jan Kiepura was about £90 I think with a DB and PKP coupon. I just had a quick look at the same on the Russian service from Paris (which I believe is barred to coupons) and a single berth was...

EN Jan Kiepura to finish in December

Very sad! Used this many times as a gateway to Minsk, Vilnius and Krakow because it had a sensible arrival time in Warsaw. I take it the only option to Warsaw now is going via Berlin?

    Great Northern 317s

It was switched off between Downham Market and Kings Lynn for repairs for a few weeks last year. The system is now fully operational. Its very rare, the last time that I know of was over Christmas due to a number of 365's being out of traffic.

When I came back from Budapest to Munich, I paid the €15 supplement to sit in business from the MÁV conductor without a problem.
