Back at the start of the year I asked what gigs you had to come :)

Haven't seen any this year but I do have Black Sabbath upcoming in December. Managed to snag tickets to see them in Solihull Birmingham which should be epic, only thing more epic would be if I'd waited for the NIA dates or they were playing Villa Park

I was hoping to see Fleetwood Mac at the MEN, but when I went to buy a ticket the day after they were released, they were all sold out <(

Lost somewhere within Bank-Monument tube station,
Only two gigs, but very very different to each other. First saw Kate Nash live at Norwich Arts Centre in April, only about 400 people there in a small venue, but it was an awesome atmosphere and real fun. Her new material does take some time to get used to, but boy does it work in a live setting. Supporting her were The Tuts, a all-female punk band from West London, and they were pretty good.

Two months later, I'm standing in a field located somewhere within the confines of Finsbury Park with 39,999 other people, waiting to see The Stone Roses appear on stage. The Roses were the band that changed my outlook on music a few years ago, from being a pure metalhead to the indie/rock/pop person that I am now. I still can't believe I managed to get tickets to see them. :o They played an absolute blinder of a set.

Supporting was Miles Kane, who'd just released his new album, and he was brilliant. Then came along Johnny F**kin Marr of all people for the second support slot. Singing along with everyone to How Soon Is Now, Bigmouth Strikes Again and a few other Smiths classics, with some of his decent solo material mixed in as well was an unbelievable experience. The final support act was none other than Public Image Ltd, so I can at least say I've seen Johnny Rotten live in concert. :p

I would have gone to more gigs this year, but due to money and transportation issues (the woes of being a student), I haven't been able to. Hopefully I can get tickets to see Kasabian, should they tour next year, and I'm gonna try to get to my first festival, which I'd like to be Reading, unless the line-up is as atrocious as this year's one...<(

I plan on going to one of the Brum gigs, however I have to be totally honest and say the thought having to listen to Ozzy Osbourne puts me off.

Off to an Eagles tribute act in a few weeks before hopefully seeing the real deal next year though.

Seeing Rammstein at Download is right at the top for me.

They really are something live, especially the interestingly shaped foam cannon that the lead singer uses to hose down the crowd at the end of a particular song. Not to mention the insane amount of pyrotechnics. :D

Bit peeved at not seeing Paradise Lost in Manchester though.

Thought they were good but when she came out and did Watch Over You  as taggart would say, there's been a murder <(

Saw biffy clyro at Sheffield and Manchester in May they were great. All time low and green day at London were brilliant too. Think biffy were best I've seen this year though!

  1. VNV Nation - Fleece, Bristol - 5-11-13

I was there! Not normally into thumpy 4/4 electronic stuff, but I do like VNV. Got a signed CD.

Also in the past couple of weeks I've seen Steven Wilson and Savages. Next week, Zappa Plays Zappa.

Hehe - My taste is a little Goth/Industrial - plus in the SW you rarely get bigger acts touring

We didn't hang around this time. Had to get back to Exeter as I was working 7am the following morning :)

I have to ask what you thought of sleeping with sirens as my sister saw them at rock city and walked out before the end due to how bad they were (and because security told her off for being in a mosh pit at the back ;)).

Bloody hell some list that is :o!

More than I've seen! I've seen:

- Steve Hackett (Genesis Revisited II tour, recommended!)
- Brit Floyd (P.U.L.S.E tour)

Other than that, I've seen Aussie Pink Floyd, which I think are the king of Pink Floyd cover concerts. I'd like to see Coldplay live though too, didn't seem to be out at all in 2013 :(

It's been a quiet year.

No, a *really* quiet year.

Status Quo - Glasgow.

Don't laugh unless you know the difference between pre-1985 Quo and after.
I didn't, but I do now and I'm off to see the original line up again next year. Wouldn't see the modern line up if you paid me.

FM / Vega / Snakebite - Bingley

FM / It Bites / Vega - Manchester

FM / It Bites / Vega - Nuneaton

Romeo's Daughter / Danny Vaughn / FM / Vega - Rotherham

The Dogbones / Jonny Cola and the A-grades / Nick Marsh - Nambucca, North London

Little Angels - Cambridge

Going to see:

100% Beefcock And The Titsburster - London (probably) The Darkness - Holmfirth

FM / Toby Jepson - Crewe

Badness - Sutton-in-Craven (probably)

Booked for next year:

Foreigner / FM - Sheffield

Status Quo - Manchester

Definitely need to see more of my bands than my wife's next year! Guess who she *really* likes.

You'd struggle to work out where I lived from where I've seen bands!

Further to what I said before, just paid £141 for an Eagles ticket for London next June, worth every penny.

Got a couple of tribute bands and perhaps Black Sabbath coming up in December, and they will have been my only ones this year.
